Hey there, inhabitants of the music planet!🙌🏻
We dusted off 2050's Blues, one of our less famous tracks from last year. Back then, landing 100 plays on SoundCloud was basically a celebration. Lately, thanks to their algorithm pushing AI stuff, it kinda feels like we’re almost back there 🤔. We gave it a proper makeover with fresh guitar and bass effects, a couple of sneaky layers to spice it up, drums fixed with no more clipping madness, and even the vocals got a serious upgrade. Turns out Tom was a little too generous with the compression last time, yeah, blame the producer! 🤣
Now it finally grooves the way it was meant to.

For Tarot card no. 3 of the Major Arcana, I have tried to make a cross between a lullaby and a nocturne to musically express the Night Garden of the dreaming seeds of the Empress.

Title: From The Broken Stone - A Progressive Rock Suite

Take your time. Take a deep breath. What awaits you is not just a song, but a 20-minute musical journey—an epic in four acts about the indestructible human spirit.

"From The Broken Stone" tells the story of a legacy that was never planned, but born from the cracks of the past. It begins with a whispered nightmare, journeys through a cinematic rock ballad filled with pain and hope, culminates in a cathartic instrumental storm, and finally finds peace in a reconciliatory, orchestral epilogue. It is a narrative of how the deepest wounds can become windows, and how new hope can grow from the rubble of a life.

This work would not have been possible without the pioneers of epic, narrative rock. It is a deep and respectful homage to the musical vision of bands like Deep Purple (for the soulful Hammond organ and explosive dynamics), Manfred Mann's Earth Band (for the sound-painting synthesizers and anthemic choruses), and Marillion (for the courage to tell complex, suite-like stories).

This epic does not attempt to copy them, but to honor their spirit: the spirit of a music that takes its time, that delves deep, and that takes the listener on a journey from which they return changed. We invite you to embark on this journey.

It’s a bit different from what we usually do, and just a heads-up, the track kicks off with an old vocal sample from a funky song we never finished or released, and yeah... it might make you jump out of your seat the first time you hear it. Totally unintentional, promise.

The phrase Thy kingdom come is part of the Lord’s Prayer, a prayer that Jesus taught His disciples (and all future servants of His kingdom) as a pattern for prayer.In Luke 11:1, the disciples observed Jesus praying and wished to learn from Him how to pray. They recognized that Jesus’ day-to-day actions flowed from His intimate prayer life with God, and they wanted their lives to reflect the same. So Jesus taught them this model prayer: “Whenever you pray, say, Father, your name be honored as holy. Your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone in debt to us. And do not bring us into temptation” (Luke 11:2–4, CSB).A fuller version of the Lord’s Prayer features in Matthew 6:9–15 as part of Jesus’ extensive teachings in the Sermon on the Mount. Here we are with our last track of the month.
Lately, Carl @thebeautifuldark has been working on some important projects to raise awareness about the indiscriminate use of AI in the world of art. This track came from deep conversations between us, exploring themes of identity, authenticity, and the growing trend of music that’s “AI-made” but never truly felt or played.

Vacant Stares is a cryptic, cult-like vision of a digital future, where prompters replace creators, and artistic expression is reduced to hollow commands.
Blank stares. Selfish prayers. Fake songs for simulated feelings.
This track is a warning. A question. A reversed ritual.
It asks you: who are you, when you no longer use your own voice?

The song is divided into two parts:

Beating Edge's part:
It’s gothic, cinematic, full of ritualistic and unsettling imagery. The atmosphere evokes abandoned temples, secret cults, carved symbols… with that sense of existential disorientation like “they’re initiating me into something but I don’t know what.”
It feels like a lucid nightmare or a hallucination induced by an intelligence simulating spirituality.
Carl’s part:
More brutal, direct, anti-establishment. Almost a rap/spoken-word poem loaded with accusations towards those who use AI in a sterile, heartless way. “Selfish prayers / Fake / Unfair” hit like punches in the gut in just four words. It’s the awakening from hypnosis.

Let’s reflect! And use AI as a tool to amplify art, not to replace it!

😓Final note (or rant): this platform (and not just this one) keeps getting more disappointing.
