We are glad to see the Canadian label support Australian music yet again, with this EP release of our good friend - Unknown Concept. Whilst Unknown Concept brings the drive and warmth to your ears with his originals, South Zone adds a tasteful, exuberant, psychedelic feel to it all, with tonal glitchy sound design and chug that'll unscrew a few of your nuts 'n' bolts for sure.

RC110 marks the return and collaboration of two label favourites, close friends and local legends – Tom Baker and Unknown Concept. A year in the making, we are proud to present you with the 2 track Ambidextrous EP, featuring the title record and the secondary, Nocturne.

When you look at the make up of any musical composition there are so many elements to consider. The instrumentation and space of your record, what specific pieces you decide to blend together, at what point they develop over the course of your arrangement and in what place across this spectrum do your elements either thrive on their own or shine all together.

Two artists being 'Ambidextrous' can be loosely translated to the concept of balance. The ability to be able to rely upon each element you piece together to speak to, relate and ultimately balance out your entire composition.

Tom Baker and Unknown Concept have drawn from their own unique styles and characteristics within their music to build a dark and ominous EP which will no doubt take you late in the night.

Nocturne is a low-slung progressive number, where you can feel the low end move you throughout the arrangement. A testament to both artists design and element selection.

Thank you so much for everyones support in the last 12 months!

To celebrate 500 follows on FB, I thought it might be time to let go of the first ever tune I wrote for this project. 

I wrote this track after returning home to Australia in late 2019, landing in one of the worst bushfire seasons we've seen in Aus for a long time. The sky was thick with smoke, day in, day out for what felt like a month.. I remember it having a profound impact on my outlook and mental health at the time, which likely explains why the first techno track I ever tried to write is arguably the darkest and most eerie.. 

Despite this however, the track shifts in the second half, offering a sense of hope and relief. A journey from dark to light. 

Sadly, the project file has been lost on an old computer, meaning I can't touch up the mixdown for this release. But on the plus side - it means this is truly, the first ever track I wrote for Audible Thought.

At the time this was the track that inspired a complete pivot in my music, away from bass music and back to my 4 x 4 roots. 
I owe alot to this track, and it does feel nice to finally set it free. 

Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my music and being a part of the journey. 
I hope you like the tune :)
