Devarra, full name Adi Devara, was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. He inherited his musicality from his mother, as she was a singer and guitar player in a famous band in the late 60’s. He started playing guitar and bass at a very young age, and not surprisingly started a band himself. Today, Devarra has been DJing over 23 years and producing Dance Music almost 12 years. His music is best described as house music & tech house and is influenced and inspired by DJ’s and producers such as Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, and Marco Carola. His achievements so far include winning the DJ talent competition, ‘Heineken Thirst Indonesia’ in April 2005. Devarra successively won the Asia Pacific Heineken Thirst Final in 2006, which resulted in him representing the Asia Pacific region at the Global Final that was held in Cape Town, South Africa in January 2006, where he placed 3rd. In 2007 he won the Ravelex Award for Best Techno DJ Indonesia. Devarra’s list of gigs is extensive and impressive! From his residencies at Jakarta’s massive clubs Embassy (2006-2008) , Bibliotheque (2010-2012) and Dragonfly (2014-present) to Indonesia’s biggest Dance Music festival Djakarta Warehouse Project 2014 -2023, Ultra Music Festival Japan, Bali & Korea, Cream Festival Siam Songkran & Jakarta Movement, playing alongside of the biggest names in Dance Music. The list of countries keeps growing as well, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, China, South Africa, Vietnam, The United States of America and the Netherlands. Devarra’s production skills are formidable, and make him stand out from all the rest in his home country Indonesia and even the Asia Pacific region. He truly is one of the most talented and experienced DJ/Producer’s coming out of the East, and therefor he’s more than ready to join the established order in the West!

A Chicago DJ influenced by local and international DJs, Beat Tech brings a unique blend of Tech, Progressive, Electro, Dutch house into his music. Being a versatile DJ, he rocks all types of crowds from festivals to the most underground clubs. He doesn’t just mix, a firm believer in putting on a show, he uses proper deck skills and trickery to get the crowd going. As he continues to expand his career, Beat Tech has been producing a lot of bootlegs for his sets to give them an exclusive sound that won’t be heard anywhere else. Taking his music career a step further, he now produces original tracks using FL Studio and Ableton. He has already collaborated with local DJs, Dj Bez and Oleg Productions and continues to produce with more and more people which will be seen and heard in 2011. He has played in Chicago venues such as Congress Theatre, Entourage, Lumen, and Stone Lotus to name a few. 
Currently he has a weekly radio show called Beat Tech – My Chicago on Tracklistings Radio every Thurs [0:00 GMT +1] in Europe or 5PM CST in the USA on http://tracklistings.forum.st/ . His tracks and radio shows have been played and downloaded in over 118 countries already and more and more people are being exposed to the mayhem that is Beat Tech.
