In "Colourful Souls," also titled "彩色灵魂" in Chinese, Davyd and I have created something unique. My Chinese and British background comes through in the lyrics, inspired by Tang dynasty poetry and paired with a simple English chorus in my Avant-Pop style. Davyd, whose roots are in Argentina, brings a fresh, cross-continental flavour to the beats and overall musical composition. Davyd adds, "It's a pleasure for me to bring Fifi's vision to life; her voice is beautiful to work with.”

For "No 'Other' (和平之歌)", Davyd and I have continued to explore even deeper into the fusion of our diverse musical and cultural backgrounds, presenting a track that resonates with themes of unity and peace. This second single from our collaboration continues to blend the essence of my Chinese and British heritage with Davyd's Argentinian roots, creating a sound that transcends traditional genre boundaries.

In "No 'Other' (和平之歌)", we've expanded our exploration of cross-cultural influences, drawing inspiration from the concept of 和平 (peace) as a universal aspiration. The lyrics weave together Mandarin and English, echoing the harmonious blend of East and West, while the music incorporates elements of afro beat avant-pop style.

Davyd's production brings an innovative edge to the arrangement, seamlessly integrating contemporary afro beats into our unique Latin-Chinese hybrid that is both uplifting and thought-provoking. My vocal performance aims to embody the spirit of 和平, conveying a message of hope and connection across cultural divides.

This song marks a significant step in our journey together, further cementing our commitment to breaking down barriers through music. The accompanying artwork for "No 'Other' (和平之歌)" reflects the song's message of unity, featuring a harmonious blend of visual elements from our respective cultures, symbolising the possibility of peace and understanding in a diverse world.

Together, we hope to inspire others to find common ground in the beauty of our differences, making "No 'Other' (和平之歌)" a heartfelt anthem for unity in times of division. 

No 'Other' (和平之歌)

In "Eu Quero," a vibrant summer club tune and our third drop from the upcoming album, Davyd and I continue to blend our diverse cultural backgrounds into a unique musical exploration. This track infuses the infectious rhythm of Brazilian Funk with my voice saying 'Eu Quero' (Portuguese) in multiple languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Italian, and English. Davyd, with his South American background, adds a dynamic, cross-continental flavour to the composition.

When mixing the song, Davyd prefers my vocals louder than I do, sharing, "I love working with Fifi's voice; it's always a pleasure." This song showcases our ongoing collaboration, one that transcends geographic and genre boundaries, aiming to bring more eclectic and culturally rich music to our audience. The accompanying artwork for "Eu Quero" is part of a series I've created, combining traditional Chinese aesthetics with a vibrant Brazilian colour palette this time around.

In "感官游戏" (directly translated as "Sensory Game" whilst the original title being "Look at Me Closer"), our latest release, we embark on an intimate exploration of musical fusion. This track moves away from the traditional essence of Chinese folk singing to embrace the passionate rhythms reminiscent of Spanish flow in its delivery. Inspired by Davyd’s vision for this song, I used the Chinese language to craft a piece that feels both familiar and exotically new, perfectly embodying the Latin-Chinese hybrid theme of our forthcoming album.

"感官游戏" stands out to us, the creators, for its lush, evocative, and passionately charged lyrics. The accompanying artwork (by me) and videos (by Davyd) for "感官游戏" extend our visual narrative and offer a deeply immersive sensory experience.

Look At Me Closer (感官游戏)

Drawing inspiration from Chinese poetry and the fiery energy of transformation, “Fuego”, the latest single from Endless Summer (无尽夏日), our upcoming album by Davyd and myself, reflects on impermanence and renewal.

Chinese New Year is a time of spring and fresh beginnings, and 2025 is the Year of the Snake—known in China as the “Little Dragon.” This symbolism runs deep in the song, with lyrics like "一点一点出淤泥, 一个一个化为灰烬" ("Little by little, rising from the mud; one by one, turning to ashes"). These words evoke the cyclical dance of creation and destruction, inspired by Buddhist traditions.

The recurring line, “Through a thousand ego eyes,” reflects on the many faces and lenses through which the ego perceives the world, shaping how we experience life. By recognising the illusions and stories created by our egos, we can step closer to our true selves - ending cycles of suffering and embracing a deeper sense of peace and renewal.

Blending my Chinese-British musical roots with Davyd’s South American heritage, “Fuego” is a track that invites you to welcome the spirit of change. Body Language (身体语言) is the newest single from my ongoing collaboration with Davyd on the upcoming album Endless Summer (无尽夏日) - a continuation of our Latin–Chinese fusion that speaks through rhythm, texture, and whispers.

Set against a Latin groove and layered with Mandarin–English lyrics, Body Language lives in the heat between touch and silence, breath and glance. It’s about the language we speak without words - the silent eloquence of flesh in motion.

Produced by Davyd, based in Argentina, Body Language continues our cross-cultural dialogue, blending Latin warmth with Chinese lyricism and letting each beat voice its own desire.
