Each piece embarks on its own unique journey while maintaining a cohesive bond with the others. From the uptempo title track to the trip hop vibes of “Ames Window” both held together by dubbed out delays and pulsating samples reaching into the unknown. Ages ago Break Mode made this laid back edit of Cocteau Twins beauty “Pink Orange Red” for his Cafe del Gumar DJ sets and mixes. Although it eventually surfaced online, it was never meant for widespread sharing. However, due to growing interest, Gumar gave the track a light remaster, and now it proudly joins our Edit Factory series.

Clone West Coast Series just released the album "DJ Sotofett & The Colours Of Computer Generated Instruments" - 15 cuts widening the spectrum of electro, with 80's Nintendo console vibes and holy grail analog vs digital synthesis. The album is filled with surprises, seamlessly transitioning from acid infected vibes and catchy electronic pop to avant-garde electro cuts. But this is "The Mixtape", a 45 min energetic and deep dive into essential Electro and Detroit Techno. "I love hip hop. I have been digging a lot of it because I like the beats and it’s fun to blend with trip hop and downtempo tracks. I also work for a record collectors, who has an incredible hip hop collection and we spend a lot of time listening to all these records. Beyond the beats, rhythm & lyrics, hip hop has an important piece in the history of music and the city I live in. I am grateful it exists.

This mix was recorded in Texas, in my bed room early January during the holiday season."
