This is the Northern Irishman's second appearance on Selador, and he returns with an impressive 3 tracker that not only showcases his versatility and range but also a technical prowess honed from over 15 years in the business.

Remixes come courtesy of Italian production legend Alex Neri and budding Romanian star, BOg.

One of Dancing Astronaut’s artists to watch in 2017 and the man behind one of the most impressive debuts of 2016, Beatport #1 album ‘One Day of Independence’ on Guy J’s Lost & Found, returns to home ground. This time in the shape of 5 incredible remixes by some of electronic music’s most intriguing and brightest stars.

Lehar, Luca Bachetti, Patrice Baumel, Termoment and Lost & Found head honcho Guy J have each reinterpreted their favourite off Khen’s future classic debut.

‘Imaginal Cells’ has been repurposed by the label boss himself into a beautiful slice of melodic goodness. With trippy FX details and a serene breakdown, its yet another Guy J classic rework. 

Diynamic's Lehar offers his take on the Khen and Guy J collabo ‘Prism’, turning down the intensity of the original with a sophisticated touch, he leads the track to deeper waters with an infectious melody that marries the familiar underlying key elements of the original in perfect symbiosis.

The sonic voyage continues with Luca Bachetti’s groovish take on ‘Authentica’. Adding to the recognisable lead melody, he gives the track an almost cinematic and atmospheric treatment that leaves you longing for more.

Patrice Baumel, fresh from the success of his recent remix of Cubicolor, tackles ‘Land of Goshen’. Taking the track in a more driving and pumping direction with a nod to 90s classic Trance, this track will cause a stir in sets from dusk to dawn.

Closing the collection on a trippy vibe with hints of old school Acid and an uncanny detailed soundscape that will leave you in awe, is Termoment’s take on ‘One Day of Independence’. A beautiful and fitting finalé to this weighty package of reworks.

The Berlin-based duo Walter Merziger and Arno Kammermeier, aka Booka Shade, return to Bedrock to unveil their second EP for John Digweed’s imprint. Coming from one of the finest pioneering electronic music acts of the past two decades, their excitedly awaited ‘Understanding EP’ does not disappoint.

Opening with the dark, enticing percussive pulse of ‘Understanding’, the masterful duo lay down a work of art that invokes the spirit of classic house music with its distinctive vocal samples, bedded perfectly on an exceptional spine-tingling Techno groove. Genre blurring electronic music at its finest. The jittery, buzzing energy of ‘Sonus’ sees Walter and Arno drive the atmosphere towards more experimental sonic territory whilst never deviating from their rock-solid groove foundations.

With their extraordinary individualistic creative juices flowing freely, Booka Shade introduce hypnotising looped hooks, a low-slung Tech groove and uplifting melodies for ‘Curve’. With its subtle added dose of funk, this is the perfect combination to release some heart-warming summer sunshine into the party. As a finale, ‘Retox’ unfolds as a glorious spiralling, heart rushing electronic creation that is the perfect climactic conclusion to an exceptional EP.

Philipp Straub lands on the mighty Bedrock with a five track EP that features collabs with up and coming names like Lorenzo de Blanck, Ian Carpenter, and Nilseus.

Elysium opens in deep, warm, atmospheric fashion with vast kick drums and spine tingling keys that brim with emotions. The Tube is a patient, slow burning track with tribal drums and sleek synths that get you in a trance and then Eclipse is more unhinged, with those synths reaching up to the skies and unfolding in sheets of colour. Straub links with Lorenzo de Blanck for the tantalising Burn, a thundering cut with big hits and rumbling bass that demand you dance, and last of all Everything Is Happening is a more zoned out affair with beautiful keys twirling up top above the hypnotic drums.

This is an enchanting new EP with plenty of emotional depth and dance floor clout.

A welcome return to the Particles fold finds Chihaka growing with his three-track "Pinda". Remixes comes from Belgian and Greek artists.

A 2019 newcomer to the Particles roster, Chihaka hit the headlines with his "Nyara" EP in October 2019. Three original works shone a light on the Dubai resident's talents as he now returns with another musical triptych rich in piano. The title track is a melodic house gem that sparkles with shaker-fuelled top-line before cascading arpeggio comes to the fore. Emotive piano phrases add melancholy and, hitting its stride post-breakdown, a glorious arpeggiated collage converges and diverges alongside the magical keys. Continuing the rich arpeggios of the lead tack, "Kuntanga" hits hard with driving beat, laconic off-beat percussion and hi-hat urgency. A metronomic riff adds dynamism before another beautiful piano sequence shines through the breakdown with subtle melodic nuances building into layers of intricate patterns. "Iri Pamoto" continues the complex piano narrative with it its emotional chord progressions. A driving arpeggio sits atop to provide energy and structure against deep kick, fizzing shakers and clicking clave patterns. The result is the perfect solution to 'less equals more' equation.

Hitting the headlines with his 2018 "Home" EP for Nico Morano's Atmosphere Records, Naethan had already found success in his Belgium homeland with performances at Tomorrowland and Extrema Outdoor. Going on to feature for the likes of Nothing But, LW Recordings and Kanvas in 2019, Naethan's remix of Rick Pier O'Neil's "Shining" for Particles in July showcased a promising start for the Belgian. Now remixing to remix the title track, his reworking of "Pinda" carries the melodic poignancy of the original with its inclusion of Chihaka's piano phrases. Adding a swathe of original production material to his remix, a driving beat and high-energy percussion provide the framework for a series of arpeggios and flowing melodies to evolve from a sonic kernel rooted firmly in Chihaka's original. The outcome is an impressive and innovative offering sure to find favour in clubs across the globe.

V-Sag has a long association with the underground dance movement with the Greek artist developing a growing fanbase as resident artist on hybridized.org, before a triple century of production credits for some of the finest imprints illustrated an impressive talent and ability. Since 2006, V-Sag has seen his music signed to such leading labels as Pure Substance, Vapour Recordings and ARVA, supported by Digweed, Cattaneo and Deep Dish. It is thus an honour to welcome such a celebrated name to the Particles roster with a typically impressive production. A laid-back, rolling groove provides the perfect framework for the rich melodic motifs of "Pinda" to shine. A hypnotic arpeggio ripples enticingly across proceedings with increasing reverb before it cascades into a new pattern linked symbiotically to the keys underneath. Waxing and waning with ease across its near seven-minute journey, the result is a sonic triumph.

A trio of new tracks from Chihaka plus remixes from Naethan and V-Sag have found "Pinda" packed full of emotion.
