Their super powers of course are plain for all to see. With decades of experience under their collective belts, there’s not much they haven’t already achieved. But the never ending quest for the perfect beat still lights their fire, and we are always grateful to be the lucky custodians of the next chapter in their oeuvre. 

This EP is lead by’Like A Satellite’, a rocket fuelled epic that will light up the night sky, leaving glorious, intoxicating chemtrails in its wake. ‘Hold you Back’ then follows effortlessly in its slipstream, all groove ’n swagger shooting from the hip, straight from the heart. Mirrorball Sleaze anyone? 

And if all that was not enough to renew your faith in humanity, we’re also treated to the perfect subplot in the form of Luke Brancaccio & Gai Barone’s intergalactic re-rub of ‘Hold You Back’. A pulsating, hypnotic throbber from outer space.

The eclectic tastes of British producer and DJ, Aubrey Fry span through the electronic music spectrum. His releases have brought numerous releases and now he readies up the release of the stunning new single ‘The Loop’. 

Aubrey shares two versions of ‘The Loop’. The euphoric explorations of the original mix bring a beatless arrangement with a dazzling array of expressive synth work and stunning melodic writing. The ‘Extra-Vaganza AF’ mix takes things deeper, with a driving drum groove and darker sonic explorations for those magical late-night moments.

The Loop

We are happy to have Joseph Ashworth joining us for a mix following the release of his new album "Stay" on Anjunadeep.

Stay is a dynamic album with influences spanning from Acid House to Italo Disco to 90s Warp Records. Joseph presents a focused and considered body of work that displays a wealth of growth from his last full-length release Grain, released in 2015.

The original intention wasn't to record a full-length album. An opportunity arose to create an AI project (AIMI) where elements of his unreleased work would be re-interpreted by machine learning to generate an ever-evolving music experience. This inspired Joseph to bring together years' worth of music for listeners interested in the cutting edge of technology, but also reminded Joseph of his love of the traditional 'album' format. So throughout 2021, and with less travel, Joseph created 10 tracks and meticulously edited and arranged them into a fluid, engaging listening experience.

Joseph comments, ‘Stay is the connection of ten tracks I started over the past five years. Time and patience were key in the recording process, with an aim to make each track as unique and emotionally vivid as possible’. 

Joseph Ashworth’s highly acclaimed releases on Cocoon, Siamese, Life & Death, Get Weird, Pets, ELEMENTS, and Needwant have helped him grow a reputable fanbase on both sides of the Atlantic, receiving support from all corners of the electronic music scene including Lee Burridge, Jonas Rathsman, DJ Tennis, Patrice Baumel, Kolsch and many more.

One bouncing into the sunset on a broken drum, the other pumping relentlessly into the stars; across the tracks Artche flexes his full silky signature. ‘Indigo’ swings with a beautiful two-step, sways with melancholy pads and sizzles with trembling pianos. ‘Magenta’, meanwhile, a much more forthright 4x4 journey. Juicy kicks and bass coated in dreamy synths and a breakdown to die for, it’s another timeless triumph for the Newcastle-in-Manchester artist who’s consistently captured the post lockdown zeitgeist in recent times. For legendary UK dance label Bedrock's 200th release, John Digweed & Nick Muir invite German DJ & producer, Jonathan Kaspar, to remix two of their tracks to mark this special occasion.

'Live Off The Grid' was originally released in 2014 as part of their 'Traveller’ album, a collaboration with anonymous sci-fi writer John Twelve Hawks. Jonathan Kaspar's remix increases the tempo of the track, and juxtaposes the deep mysterious spoken-word vocals with elegant, futuristic synth samples.

Jonathan Kaspar's second remix is of John & Nick's 2021 track 'Stand Still’ that was a stand out feature on the Quattro album. Jonathan Kaspar underpins the floating synths with a thumping beat, driving throughout the track and transforming 'Stand Still' into a deeper, darker dance track.

The eclectic tastes of British producer and DJ, Aubrey Fry span through the electronic music spectrum and earlier this year he released a stunning single ‘The Loop’. Now, Alex Banks and Charlie May deliver powerful remixes of the track.

Hailing from Brighton, Alex Banks is a DJ & Producer who explores deeper sounds influenced by jungle, broken beat, dubstep and techno. He consistently pushes the envelope with an adept technical skill and sound design which commands repeated listens. His remix combines a driving beat and futuristic synth samples primed for the dancefloor. The second remix comes from Producer Charlie May, who creates a deeper, industrial soundscape and builds to two suspenseful breakdowns.
