Breaks Will Eat Itself (BWEI) is an alias for vocalist and producer Liz Melody.
Wanting  to focus more seriously on her production skills, Liz felt this wasn't going to be as effective using the 'Liz Melody' moniker by which she's more predominantly known as a singer and topline writer.

BWEI came about as a rather tongue in cheek reference to the long standing and relentless 'breakbeat is dead' debates which Liz firmly disbelieves and with this she's also paid homage to one of her all time favorite groups Pop Will Eat Itself. 

While Liz still incorporates her vocals into all the BWEI material you can alternatively hear Liz Melody's vocal/topline work on tracks from Splitloop, Slyde, Curtis B, C83, Baymont Bross, B-Phreak, Jack Stat, James Talk ,DJ Aleksij & Klod Rights,High Eight and more. 

Liz has had 2 solo productions as Liz Melody entitled 'Forget U' and 'Skeptical' released on breaks labels Re:Connect and Sound of Habib consecutively. 

As BWEI her first single, 'Resistance’ was released to rave reviews in Dec 09 and included a sinister Backdraft remix that straddled the border between breakbeat and dubstep.The second release is a two-tracker entitled 'To Be Alone/White Light' due out August 24/ 2010. ..A remix of Loaded Fist's 'Luna Park' will soon follow..

Fur Coat has been at the forefront of the electronic music scene for the past decade, steadily building his reputation as a producer, DJ and label owner (Øddity Records).

As a producer Fur Coat’s consistent release schedule places emphasis on quality and expressing himself as an artist. With two acclaimed albums including 2020's ‘Polyphony’ on Renaissance the Fur Coat sound can be heard on the likes of Balance, Last Night On Earth, Just This, Systematic, Watergate, Crosstown Rebels and of course Øddity Records - the label that Sergio Muñoz (Fur Coat) founded in 2017. On the remix front his takes on the music of Stephan Bodzin, Eli & Fur, Röyksopp, Sasha and WhoMadeWho…along with highly prized Fur Coat originals all see heavy rotation of his music from the likes of Pryda, Tale Of Us, Adriatique, Mind Against, Kölsch, Solmun and many more.

It pretty much started all in late 1997 in a small town called Schwäbisch Hall, where i hosted a weekly 2-Hour Radio Show at the local station called "StHörfunk".
The next step was a Job for the then biggest independet music distributor in Germany called EFA. I worked for their dance department as a product manager from 2000-2002.
After this i had the honor to work as the Editor of the Deutsche Club Charts (DCC) and DJ-Promotoer at Public Propaganda, Hamburg from 2002-2003.
from 2003-2004 i used to work for a small club in Hamburg called "Tanzhalle St.Pauli" as a booker.
In Early 2005 i was offered a job at interactbooking in Berlin and moved there, booking concerts and tours for the likes of Louie Austen, Jake The Rapper, Friedrich Liechtenstein, Client and many others.
from 2007-2011 i then studied musicology and media studies at Humboldt Universität Berlin, and wrote album critics for a german magazine called Raveline alongside.
Music still rules my world today.
