Our 7th mix is delivered by bare-feet dancer, co-runner of club Čičinek 2, residet dj and toilet cleaner at RUSH 27 Ondřej aka Epoché. Touched by hypno-techno when started deejaying, anyway letting his mind opened to styles, shaped him where he is nowadays. Ketomix was set to be born when first opened huge iron door of his club. Somewhere in Scandinavia feel in love with pa Funktion- One and he is keeping this relationship together with amazing girl Kara.

většinou jsme se potkávali na houbách. Ondřej aka Epoché, spolumajitel, provozovatel Čićinek 2, rezident dj a uklízečka toalet v RUSH 27. Ze slovenska přijel programovat a jsme a to všichni takhle kolem rádi. Když začínal mixovat tak jel hodně hypno-techno styl, ten taky vyrazil studovat do Skandinávie na Monument festival kde se zamiloval do pa Funktion-One se kterou kromě prima slečny Kary dlouhodobě felí. Od hypno-techna to bere přes hard-dance kličkama se najde ve stylu jak sám nazývá ketomix. Ten právě jede hodně v Čičinek 2. Moudro na závěr? Není.

'Arcadia' is the next layer in this exciting series by Replicants. This third set of retro electro cuts delves deeper inward - inside the machine. Blinks and beeps, binary sequences, light patterns and primitive code... form and function generated through analog machines... born of diodes, integrated circuits and capacitors... the programs come alive.

'Twenty Thousand Hurts' and 'Ex' rock the floor in the old school way, prominently referencing the classic proto-electro sound, with Replicants' added layer of technicolor excess. 'Arcadia' turns this sonic space inside out and the game becomes hyper-reality where bit-crushed microchip madness battles shimmering frequency modulation atmospheres for sonic supremacy.

Replicants explores a unique angle on early breakbeat and rave elements with 'Mood'. Once familiar frantic hits and staple breaks are new again, wielded as a focused mid tempo trip through rolling swells of side-chained atmosphere.

'Trance Pants' references classic Kraftwerk in its cryptic vocoder hits while grooving in a syncopated bouncy style that loses itself in extreme echo effects and chiptune mayhem. Thick 808 serves as the anchor in a maelstrom of abstract electro.

Following the approach of the previous EPs in this series, Replicants includes a killer set of bonus alternate mixes in the Bandcamp release package.

This set was recorded on the fly on a Saturday morning in February 2017 in Champagne Internet's small studio in Carlton North, Melbourne, Australia. Like all Champagne Internet DJ sets, his intention was to visit all corners of the styles which influence his productions. He does this whilst also presenting a balanced and flowing set. The sets that really grabbed his attention when he was learning the art were the ones that captured his imagination as an eclectic listening experience and those that can be enjoyed individually as much as on a crowded dance floor. Sets that have an energy that moves and hypnotises whilst dealing heavily in the abstract. No-where is this clearer than in this new edition of the BEEF podcast series.
