This is a musical tour of distant and exotic lands. It was recorded live inside the gorgeously decorated Temple of Yum chill tent at Luminescent Playground (EarthTones XIV).

Hip hop and R&B unabashedly looked to their funk, soul, and disco predecessors for hit-making inspiration. House music, being every bit as sample-happy, has found endless opportunities for reappropriation there and elsewhere.  This mix was recorded live in July 2013 and features multiple voices from the golden age of R&B and hip hop, with input from Faith Evans, 2Pac, Brandy, Aaliyah, and more.

1 hour and 25 minutes of some of my favorite tunes at the moment. Blended tastefully for your listening pleasure. Expect a mix of house, bass and tech. With tracks from Maceo Plex, Joyce Muniz, Low Steppa, Vintage Culture, Sharam Jey, Vanilla Ace, Sonic Future, Gene Farris and more.

September Mix

By far, my favorite experience at Burning Man this year was DJing atop Garage Mahal's Ganesh Bus - in the midst of a raging dust storm - on a magical mystical art tour in celebration of my dear friend Janet Love's 50th birthday. It was just insane out - a bus full of stoked Mahalers and random burners appearing out of the dust to climb aboard; so much wind and dust that I literally couldn't tell if we were moving or not; CDJs so near the end of their rope that it's a miracle they went the distance; fantastic art appearing and disappearing in the most surreal of fashions; and a bunch of deep, warm, happy and all around awesome house music. Truly the stuff magic is made of. The actual set was not recorded, but this redux version definitely captures the feeling and is the better, quality wise, for having not been recorded under those insanely wonderful conditions. My deepest love and thanks to everyone that built the bus and rode it that day. Dedicated with love to you, to Janet Love for your birthday and to my love, Flo, for the best Burn ever, baby. Love you all, tons.

So great to be back at Breakfast of Champions this year and playing in the morning which, to me, is just the perfect time for one of my favorite flavors of breaks - pretty, and really dirty. Huge thanks to Latvian artists "Under This" for more than half the tracks in this set. (IMO, no one does pretty/dirty better. Nice one, UT!) Massive thanks as well to the Space Cowboys (and Cowgirls) for throwing such a phat party (and for 15 years running)! Such a great way to start the year. Turn it up and rock out! Live At Imagination Festival (01/30/16)

Hi friends, I was recently inspired by my gig at the Space Cowboys show to record some of the house music in my collection. Some of it is new, some of it is classic, and some of it features new remixes of timeless, recognizable samples. It is because of this that I decided to call this DJ mix "Prescription (Rx) Comfort Beats," and I will continue to record more volumes. This is your comfy, groovin', house music. Music you can just simply enjoy whether it's in your car, whilst studying or doing chores around the house, or pre/after-partying on the weekend.


The best thing about this mix is that it is 100% live and "on the fly," meaning there was absolutely no pre-programming (aside from the decisions that I made during the recording, of course). It is a live, uncut & unedited mix (save for a light mastering). It is mixed in key, and both performed and recorded on the Pioneer XDJ-RX controller. All effects and loops were also recorded in real time with the XDJ-RX.

Friends and Family XX Deep Melodic House Demo

1-2pm at the 10th Annual Brass Tax Bouncy Castle Party in Golden Gate Park. A sunny beautiful day under the eucalyptus trees with amazingly silly friends and levity in our hearts. This mix is meant to be a light-hearted romp through the forest, churning the energy up to the funtastic energy of the adorable Brass Tax crew. We think it feels like a grassy afternoon with laughing friends in a deep party vibe.
