Of growing up in the notorious Meadowview neighborhood in South Sacramento. Every morning before school I was awaken by gunshots, fights, sirens, and the sounds of crime and poverty''.

JR & PH7 X Chuuwee - Meadowview Morning feat. Bueno & Sean LaMarr

Pomonabeats, a bi-coastal American instrumentalist and producer born Francis Hopkins, is dedicated to spreading positive creative energy through his music. His musical journey began with jamming blues guitar, spinning records, attending live shows, reading sci-fi books and playing in bands with friends. He was first introduced to making beats by his friend in 2018 and has been making hip-hop and electronic music since. His lo-fi, soothing instrumental hip hop, exemplified by tracks like “Whiskey Beach” captures the brief moments of sereneness and translates them into a vibe to be experienced in everyday life. In his free time, he seeks out these tranquil moments, drawing inspiration from influences such as ragtime, jazz, funk, hip hop, grunge, past memories, new stories, dreams and hopes, friends, artists, and the classic mediums of movies and books. 


Using his craft, Pomonabeats masterfully pieces together the emotions–oft colored by nostalgia–that evoke these serene experiences, creating a distinctive sound that fosters a peaceful atmosphere for listeners.
