In the beginning, there was nothing, which was pretty boring. And then the fine and expertly members of THE GENTLEMEN combined forces with composers Ben Wallace, Dan Schlosberg, and Brendon Randall-Myers to form the epic DISCO CACTUS, and history was changed forever. Civilizations rose and fall, fair maidens swooned, I found 5 dollars, and the DISCO CACTUS took a lesser known Stravinsky work called "Le Sacre du Printemps" and butchered the hell out of it at a cocktail party in New Haven. The end result was RITELY WROUGHT, a tale of love and loss, of cactus screams and beavers, and damn good scotch. But deep down, the DISCO CACTUS seeks to answer a deeper question, one that has been troubling them for centuries, one that stirs in the darkest depths of the mind, where mankind's base, primal, and instinctual urges lie, one which questions the meaning of our very existence......That age old question that goes, "Let me ask you....are your parents beavers??

Practicing singing good

This Is The New Age (Day 5 of #21DaysofVGM) 

I started of this singing by scat singing a melody which was to be the main Piano line in the track and then almost with a Steve Reich inspired base line for the piano in odd time. I added some synth and drums to anchor the rhythm a bit more in really and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
