While in the capital of the empire, he becomes much more invested in the new religion established from the Enlightenment known as "Deism". Based on reason and the scientific method, Franklin loves its creed... until he begins to realize the problems with a faith in "reason".

In the first song on the album, Ben Franklin introduces himself as the pre-eminent figure in America's civil religion we call "patriotism". He then begins his story by chronicling his early accomplishments that demonstrate how he was a prodigy from the beginning of his life.

Ch. 1 - The Demi-God

From 1722 to 1723, Ben Franklin witnessed his older brother James begin a newspaper war against religious officials in Boston over the debates of vaccination and freedom of speech. During this conflict, Ben began his own writing career by pretending to be a middle aged woman named Silence Dogood. As the Ben's star began to rise, James's star began to fall, ending in a physical altercation that spurred Ben to run away from Boston, at the age of 17.

After running away from Boston, Ben Franklin arrives in Philadelphia to learn about its history as an experiment for religious toleration created by its founder, William Penn

Ch. 3 - Lib City, Pt. 1 (The Experiment)

After witnessing the differences between Puritan Boston and Quaker Philadelphia, Ben Franklin realizes that all religions have the potential to heal communities, but also to destroy them as well. When human nature is involved, all bets are off.
