Inox Traxx - Awakenings Festival 2025

El capítulo 12 es el set que Pushmann hizo este mes de septiembre en el Lanna de Gijón. Un mix, como es habitual, muy enérgico, con mezclas a 3 pistas, trucos y sonido old school. Hace muchos años que nos conocemos y Victor ha publicado en mis dos sellos ya sea temas, remixes o EP's enteros. El último de ellos "Alone In the World" que salió en octubre de 2024 y es uno de los releases más exitosos de End Of Dayz. Aunque el tema al que más cariño le tengo es el "The Crown" que salió en el All Stars Vol.2  en 2019. Hemos compartido cabina varias veces en Laut y M7 en Barcelona y en su fiesta Lila Sessions en el Höhle de Zaragoza. A mi parecer Pushmann debería estar pinchando mucho más y por toda Europa pero como vive en Tarazona y no en Berlín... es lo que tiene.

1. ¿Qué música escuchabas antes de interesarte por la electrónica y cómo y cuándo fue que te empezaste a interesar por ella? 
Creo que escuchaba de todo, Hip-Hop, algo de Rock… quizás lo que más, Hip-Hop.Empecé escuchando cosas más Trance, e incluso cosas de salas que entonces había cerca de casa, yo tendría unos 15 años. Pero un día descubrí el álbum de Jeff Mills "Lifelike" en el que aparece “Condor To Mallorca”, y que todavía conservo. Ahí fue cuando la cabeza me explotó. Creo que fue más o menos así: esos serían los pasos que yo di, o que la vida me hizo dar.

2. ¿Cómo y cuándo empezaste a hacer música y por qué?
Empecé a trastear en el año 2012, siempre con Ableton. Oía a gente de mi ciudad que entonces tenía grupos de punk y rock hablar sobre Ableton Live. Bueno, quizás esto fue antes, sobre 2006 o por ahí. Pero realmente, cuando empecé a hacer ruido fue en 2012.
Hice un pequeño curso de iniciación en Zaragoza, poca cosa, solo ilusión, mucha ilusión, pero me frustraba, no tenía un workflow que me hiciera disfrutar, así que solo hacía guarradas con Ableton: edits, bootlegs, etc. Poco a poco fui haciendo horas hasta que en 2016 ya tenía cosas terminadas y conseguí lanzar en sellos como ARTS o KMS junto a Orlando Voorn.
Aunque, honestamente, ahora veo esas producciones y me parecen una auténtica mierda… pero supongo que esto es normal. ¡Jajaja!

3. ¿Cuál es tu tema del que estás más orgulloso?
Siempre digo que mi release en Axis es el más extraño y fuera de mi zona de confort que he hecho. Pero si hay un track que me representa es uno que saqué en mi álbum doble vinilo en Matterwave, donde pude colaborar con Ben Sims, Jeroen Search, Head Front Panel, Kowalski… Ese track es “B2 The Roots ft. Answer 68 | Pushmann | Matterwave Records”.
Creo que logré hacer un track al más puro estilo UR, y eso me hizo muy feliz.

4. Cuéntame los clubes y festivales más destacados donde has pinchado.
Bueno, siendo sincero, creo que el cierre que hice en Florida 135 en su aniversario de 2021 fue un sueño para mí, ya que llevaba más de 20 años yendo a Florida. Fue como cerrar un círculo.
Sitios como Tresor la primera vez, Monegros, los tours por Colombia también marcan mucho… No sé, he tocado en un montón de sitios que nunca imaginé. O bueno, sí imaginé, pero nunca pensé que fuese a suceder.
Y esto me gusta mucho decirlo: a todos los que vienen al techno con una meta, quiero decirles que en el techno no hay metas, hay un camino que disfrutar, y eso es lo más importante.

5. Últimamente estás haciendo música con Truncate, vais a publicar cosas juntos y recientemente hicisteis un B2B en tu fiesta Lila. ¿Cómo surgió la relación con él?
La conexión con David surgió de forma muy natural. Siempre me ha gustado su música, y desde que estoy trabajando en Höhle fue una de mis apuestas
