Kid Machine is a producer based in Manchester. He broke on to the scene with his now-classic “Replicants” EP on the mighty Viewlexx in 2012, which led to him regularly touring the festivals and clubs of Europe ever since.

Heavily influenced by the '80s Synth music, especially Italo Disco, New Beat, Synthpop, and Electro, you can find him releasing on Manchester’s Red Laser and labels across the globe. Most recently he’s had albums and EPs on Aspecto Humano and Libertine from Barcelona and Berlin respectively.

For our next mixtape set, duo Auf Togo will be taking us into a session of Pop, Funk & 70's Cosmic Disco, filled with hypnotic grooves and absorbing melodies. 

Auf Togo is the long-time collaboration between Sasa Crnobrnja and Clement Cachot-Coulom which is inspired by the Cosmic disco sounds of the late 70s/early '80s. Sasa Crnobrnja originates from the deep, disco-laced house duo of his duo alias In Flagranti (Kitsune, Phantasy, Gomma & more) and Clement Cachot-Coulom from bands The Fabulous Penetrators and Big Girls. With the Auf Togo formation, they present a sound that echoes the richness and flavour of vintage recording equipment and instruments whilst holding the edge and sharpness of modern studio techniques.

The duo presents a loose, almost improvised sound that works very well within the rigid confines of house music. Psychedelic echoey guitars clash with probing synth lines and live-sounding rhythm sections and their heavy kicks and singing cowbells, their deep basslines and spare guitar licks blur the line between rigid, quantised sounds and the duo’s refreshing human touch.
 
Auf Togo recently their new album, Movements (SaS Recording). The record, ​unconventional in its production, stems from samples extracted from Clement’s riffs and jams on guitar, bass and keys, all of which are then ultimately sown together by Sasa’s expert production 

For this mix we can expect…well all that has been said before, abstract sensuous grooves, well-crafted melodies, avant-garde Kosmiche and space disco sounds which hopefully take us away from all that January wintery blues.

CLOT Magazine presents AUF TOGO -  Pop, Funk & 70’s Cosmic Disco

The next 12″ that Forest Jams proudly presents is the official re-issue of Nathalie Letertre’s ‘Rêveur’. The lush beauty of this French electronic synth-pop single was recorded in 1986 at R.B.O. Studios of which Titan Records was a connected label. Although the vinyl recording eluded many DJ’s and collectors of today, Nathalie and ‘Rêveur’ did enjoy local success at the time of its release. The popularity of ‘Rêveur’ upon its 1986 arrival could have been attributed to it’s airing on the “Free Radios” of post-1981 France and Nathalie’s several appearances on the regional ‘FR3’ TV Station and at the forest-encircled, emblematic ‘Châlet’ nightclub (1962-2010) in Strasbourg. This re-issue includes the original and instrumental versions transferred from the original tape as well as two fresh edits from the likes of @flemming & @spaziale .

This is the 3rd volume in the already legendary mix series of Peet Need & Dennis vd Berg. The ultimate blend of knowledge and skills. This mix was originally released on a promo CD which was available with special packages at the Bordello A Parigi website and was later on broadcasted on Luxembourg's national radio. This is the excerpt of the actual broadcast. The original mix is slightly longer. Get ready for some old fashioned italo schlager and enjoy!
