Lockdown Summer

Man stelle sich einen Sommer ohne Clubbing, Festivals und all die spaßigen Dinge und Treffen vor, die diese Jahreszeit erst so richtig besonders machen...
Was noch vor einem Jahr wie ein dystopischer Alptraum erschien, ist für uns alle inzwischen bittere Realität 
Auftritt Wiebe Roose: Der in Berlin lebende Belgier legt mit  seiner Interpretation des "Lockdown Summer" sein musikalisches Debut auf languages vor. Mit seiner dominanten und catchigen Hook und einem treibenden Groove fügt sich der Track nahtlos in die Reihe der bisherigen Releases auf languages ein. Wiebe Roose bringt den Konflikt zwischen Zurückhaltung und Vernunft und dem immer stärker werdenden Drang, die durch den Lockdown aufgestaute Energie freizulassen, perfekt auf den Punkt. 

Einen weiteren Leckerbissen hält die B-Seite bereit: Den wunderbar progressiven Remix unseres guten Freundes The Wash. Der talentierte DJ und Producer aus Österreich bietet eine leicht veränderte Sicht auf den Lockdown: Während der Original Mix mit einer kleinen Prise Wut aufwartet, wählt The Wash einen deeperen, fast schon nachdenklichen Ansatz, der mit seinem ausgeklügelten Groove dennoch zum Tanzen einlädt.

Auf diese Weise ergänzen sich beide Mixe zu einem runden Release, das sowohl zum Überstehen des Lockdowns auf dem heimischen Sofa einlädt, als auch das Zeug dazu hat, uns alle hoffentlich bald wieder auf den vielen Dancefloors dieser Welt zu vereinen...

Lockdown Summer:
Imagine a summer without clubbing, festivals and all the fun gatherings that make this time of the year so special. What sounded like a dystopian nightmare just one year ago has quickly become a challenging reality for all of us. 
Enter Wiebe Roose: The Belgium-born and Berlin-based DJ now debuts on languages with his interpretation of the Lockdown Summer.
A catchy and dominant hook forms the centre point of this driving track which perfectly falls into line with the previous releases on the label. Wiebe Roose manages to convey the inner conflict between the lockdown-induced inhibitions and the energy rush so many people are encountering all over the world due to the lack of musical gatherings at the moment.
As a litte extra we are more than happy to welcome another good friend to the label: Austrian talent The Wash provides a stunning Progressive remix and shows his interpretation of Lockdown Summer. While the Original Mix pounds away with that extra pinch of fiery energy the remix comes up with a deeper and slightly thoughtful yet groovy approach. 
Thus, both mixes complement each other perfectly and form a strong release. Lockdown Summer invites you as well on a adventure from within your sofa as it strives to drive you all over many dancefloors on which we will all hopefully meet again soon...
