Any artist is welcome to send us a track via freshonthenet.co.uk anytime between Monday lunchtime and Wednesday evening (or when we receive 200 submissions, whichever is sooner) - and all our moderators, including Tom Robinson, will listen to every track. We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

Seemingly a catchy folk/pop song in it's opening, it's not long before Addicted turns the genre on its head into some sort of slow-motion Post-RnB chorus dripping with duality between pleasure and addiction. Yellowitz' singer-songwriter style is distinctive in that it is is about pleasure, addiction, queerness, gender and identity.

Yellowitz is no stranger to the stage - singing with honesty upheld by his captivating stage presence and energetic guitar-percussion. A talented multi-instrumentalist, Yellowitz  somehow fuses folk with warm electronica to create a rich feeling that fills the room. 

 

A skilled producer, Yellowitz masterfully blends authentic acoustic sounds with his signature electronic production style, creating powerful sonic worlds in various projects including Of Ghosts And Other Forms, collaborations with Nuage and fellow queer artists like DYVR, as well as live theatre shows with The New Shadow Cabinet. 


Yellowitz has featured on several BBC Introducing Sessions, and has achieved considerable acclaim in the press with BBC Radio describing his performances as “compelling, emotive and energetic.”
