If you are following Afterhour Sounds for a bit longer, you have probably encountered the unique sounding "Sumpfkrüge" on our channel: We have celebrated great parties with this Berlin based collective and also premiered their unique-sounding productions. 

Podcast N° 276 is from @paqueta_que, the co-Founder of Sumpfkrüge and producer / co-Label chef of KRUG Records. Paqueta invites us on a magical sumpf journey, as we chill and relax - or move our legs -  with this mind-bending vinyl only set. 

Our dear "paque pan" is a lover of music around the world from slow electronic to forward, from funk to disco to latin to jazz to hiphop - and he fantastically combines the different styles in this set to something magical that makes your hips and your mind shaking.

✔️ What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

For me, it all started with hip hop! I was about 11 when my brother gave me my first CD with different styles, from Wu-Tang to Kool Savas. A year later, I was running around in baggy pants and recorded my own hip-hop EP with Hiphop Ejay :D

✔️ What makes good "afterhour"?

The most important thing is the people, if it's a good crew, it feels like you could stay in Neverland with them forever! But of course, like a good movie, the background needs the right music to round it off!

✔️ Do you have any thoughts you would like to share about your set?

It's a journey to our inner child, just like an afterhour, you can laugh, you can jump around, you can lie down, you can cry! Let go of whatever is sleeping inside you and hasn't woken up for a long time. Do the nightshift, live the morning hours!
A mixture that reincarnates an afterhour, with ups and downs, thoughts about being, staying, going, being at home, thoughts about thoughts, and also about Monday and then the way home.
Eat more Künefe!

Ein Brett kommt selten allein und unverhofft brettert doppelt oft oder wie geht das nochmal? 

Was als ein lustiger Streich begonnen hat, war für uns eine ziemlich sweete musikalische Reise - die zu einem großen ,,WOW’’ und noch mehr Freundschaft geführt hat! 🤝

Ihr lieben Mystischen Kreaturen, wir können auch einen Monat später unser Grinsen immer noch nicht aus dem Gesicht bekommen.
Nach ein paar Startschwierigkeiten beim Abheben mit unserer geliebten Eule 🦉 und kurzem Stromausfall 😜 habt ihr uns dann sämtliche Anspannung weggetanzt und uns richtig aus dem Orbit katapultiert – so, dass wir mit Bretter nachlegen fast nicht mehr hinterher gekommen sind! 🪵🔨
Wir mussten uns auf jeden Fall ein paar Mal kneifen, denn für uns hätte es nicht mehr DISKO sein können, als das, was da unten vor uns abgegangen ist.

Danke, Danke und nochmals Danke an euch zuckersüßen Nebelschnecken, Traumtänzer*innen und mystic creatures fürs Floor in Brand stecken – was ein Tanzworkshop!

So, wir grinsen uns weiter einen weg und freuen uns, dass Ding nun endlich mit euch zu teilen 🎩🛎🛎🛎

Die liebe Renate meint es wird gemunkelt, dass es vielleicht eine zweite Runde TORKELICHSTE DISCO geben wird, vielleicht auch MIT DIR ?!
