ARMANDO X. fka DJ DS is a New Jersey-born DJ, vocalist, and producer whose musical lineage comes from a long line of New Jersey based Soulful House producers, DJs and vocalists from the likes of Romanthony, Tony Humphries, Kerri Chandler, & JoVonn. 

Now based in Richmond, X. cut his teeth in New York City's underground scene, holding vinyl residencies at 320 Club and Hi-Note Radio while spinning at basement parties, low lit lofts, and after hours spaces across the city.

His sound blends disco melodies, Roland drum machines, raw vocals, and gritty edits that leave people on the dancefloor in a sweat drenched trance. Sexy, percussive, and unpredictable, ARMANDO X. builds dance floors that feel like a church in a basement - all body, no judgment - where everyone is welcome. 

Whether it’s a nostalgic disco edit or a hypnotic deep house track, his sets are built for movement, memory, and emotional release. What you hear is healing. What you feel is freedom.

Writer by day, DJ by night. I'm Eddie Rios aka Black Panda. An Oakland-based DJ and producer with a deep appreciation for all things house, especially afro, deep, melodic, progressive, and classic. Co-lead of the BIPOC Beats Collective, a group of BIPOC Burners who want to diversify musical spaces on and off playa. I've also joined DJ/producer Justin Jay's production bootcamp for 2023-2024. 

Music builds an emotional connection and creates a connective tissue between mind, body, and soul. I'm hoping to make every moment memorable.
