Chicago footwork producer MoondoctoR is set to release his latest EP – Pharmakia - the fourth release for his own Freshmoon Records imprint at the beginning of April.

The EP stylistically digs deep into what makes footwork such an interesting genre - radid fire, bass heavy drum machine beats - driven by half-time, clipped, trappy snares and double time hats - inhumanly bouncing along next to repetitively looped vocal samples, pitched shifting samples and spazzy, musically inclined synth work. The EP feels so authentically Chicago that the smell of deep pan pizza practically oozes out of your speakers summoning the memory of deceased scene godfather, DJ Rashad with it.

We have got an exclusive premier of possibly the hardest number on the EP, the aptly named Crowd Hype, a rich fusion of Amen break choppage and militant, classic, kick heavy footwork drum work. This is juke battle material of the highest order, expect many a hip to twist and turn to this.

Track from TVB - T.O.M [EP} (Dynasty Shit label 026)

TVB (Tomek Lesniewski)is a DJ and producer from Wroclaw, Poland. He's been dropping bass bombs for years, and his new album (on Dynasty Shit Records) is no exception.

The album is at times smooth, full of soulful footwork samples and jungle rhythms; but by the time the EP gets to 'Top of Mind' and 'That's the Way,' however, things get a bit more hardcore. If you're trying to stay awake, these tracks will not only keep your eyes open, they'll get your feet moving and your head bopping with pleasure. The EP is both raw AND polished, in a package that, overall, just feels fun to listen to. This is some future-minded footwork material, to be certain. T.O.M is really the standout track on this one, which the album is named after. With it's grinding synth work and masterful semblance of both jungle breaks as well as drum machine patterns, tvb further establishes that he's not only a great Polish producer, but an incredible music producer, worldwide - period.

Polish juke has been blowing up lately, and tvb is not new to the electronic music or dance music game. He's been making music for a decade, but in 2013 he released, 'Liquid Story,' (Sequel One Records). Look out for his name in the future, you'll be seeing it a lot more, that's guaranteed. Dynasty Shit is proud to host his new, 'T.O.M' release, marking the 26th release on our roster.
