Beneath The Chapel (Symphonic Version)

'MONK' is a gothic rock/metal project I have dreamt up, slightly tamer music, but nonetheless challenging. Vocally - the idea is high-scream-far-away-verses, closer bolder choruses with manic spoken interludes all tying in with the concept of our distant thoughts, present day inner narratives, and self-analysis. 

This is a VERY rough demo of 'Disdain'. Take from the lyrics what you will.... any comments welcome!

CHAPTER ONE: DISDAIN

Nightmares behind my eyes
Evil The Shadows Arise
Tortured, laboured sighs
Disdain exhaled in flies

Speak as if you are free...

Why wont you come to me
Free yourself from the tragedy
Why wont you come to be
unchained from malaise and malady?

Why is everything so still?
When you  Still Have everything?
To Breathe for , to live for, to gain and to give
But you wont take anything?

Nightmares behind my eyes
Lethal, the gallows cries
An Orchard of cowardly lies
Bloodstained assailed by flies 

The unravelling of the inner afflictions of the gloriously insane, whom go about their day to day, functioning, yet broken, twisted, inept, distorted their mind remaining as a soil soil ripe,rich and fertile for trespass against.

The thrall of the thudding footsteps of the abuser keeps them captivated  for seasons upon seasons
as their self identity withers petrified as the tree in an autumn of storms and poison. Filled with must and mildew are these discarded toys in the attic. 

Why wont you walk this way?
Away from fear of  yesterday?
Why wont you come to me and say
I'm the bullet 'youre the ricochet'

Why is everything so wrecked?
You wrecked everything I can't forget
remember , I surrendered to your splendour 
turned torment of dismemberment, 
which you now 'regret'

Scarring on my thighs
Slaughtered, on treasoned wine
Cocaine, delivered by flies

Why wont you come to me
