Doved up Volume 5!  This one almost didn't happen, my crossfader needs servicing again and has gone all stiff, so you may notice less of the cutting and more of the scratching!  Anyway, Doved up 5 is a bit of a Piano and Vocal special, I make no apologies for the content of this mix, there's some unashamedly pianoey stuff in there, from Italian piano screamers to plinky plonky vocal tracks.  This is the kind of stuff I used to play in the early 90s, but less so now as much of it has been hammered to death, but as the other Doved up mixes were quite popular, here's another.  The intro is a bit of a mess around with 3 decks, nothing too serious, beats, acapella and piano.  As always, I've tried to keep it interesting with loads of edits and other stuff, hopefully it'll work for you!

This is the set we've been playing out in 2017, most recently at Glade stage Glastonbury and Beat-Herder. As ever, it's a backing track I wrote and recorded at Studio 3 Collective in Blackpool with the piano and string lines performed live in one take, just as I do on stage. The tracks are all sourced from my years as a raver in the North West UK between 1988 and 1993, though I have taken a little artistic license in their re-creation.
