Niteffect has made a concept album for us, dedicated to Man's Best Friend and our puppy Dalmata Daniel couldn't be more honoured!

This album is Niteffect's debut on our label, but we are not talking about a rookie producer, because he has been releasing music since 2007 mostly on Hamburg-based Kreislauf. His music is mainly characterized by strong emotional melodies, deep basses mixing with downtempo, trip-hop, idm, and deep house sound elements.

Man's Best Friend is an electro-oriented album, sometimes with breaks or other broken beats sound, but the most common that all the tracks have deep emotional synth waves. Niteffect playfully uses these to create melancholic and more upbeat moods, creating a varied but coherent whole, perfectly capturing the changing experiences of a summer vibe.

La chasse, translating to “the hunt” in French, is a metaphorical statement about what it means to be an artist. Being a creative of any kind means being driven by hunger that can only be satisfied through the expression of oneself, the externalizing of something that lives within us - and, in many cases, the yearning to watch others interact or react to our art, in the hopes that they recognize themselves within it as well.

La chasse is the feeling of chasing that release and all of the steps that must come before a piece of our internal, creative world, is relinquished for the consumption of others. Furthermore, it’s an allusion to the fact that this creative drive catches itself in a never ending cycle - the satisfaction of releasing art never satiates us for very long before we are on the hunt again, to share ourselves with the world.

In 2018 in Bogotá, producer Halb Maschine and artist Ela Vann joined forces to bring Dot Drama to life. After several years of collaboration, they present their EP "Surcos" on Pildoras Tapes. The EP features 6 tracks that explore the sounds of Synthwave, incorporating distorted vocals, classic drum machines, and saxophones that evoke the industrial sound of the 1980s.

We are pleased to introduce these types of releases that delve into different genres of electronic music. That's why we decided to invite Filmmaker, Spinal, Tarqvino, and Panama Papers for the B-side of the tape, creating new versions more focused on the dance floor.

Bertram debuts on Dutch cult label Pinkman Records. Fueled by nostalgia, 'Lights Out' aims to execute industrial old school dancehall and dub within a raw electronics framework. It combines old drum machines, vintage synths, acid bass lines, Sherman-laced vocals by Bertram and the people in his life, and clever approaches to the creative process and production. He believes in a ''it takes a village" approach and worked closely with label head Marsman to iterate the project. The release is blessed by remixes courtesy of C.L.A.W.S. and Chris Mitchell.

The first of three fundraiser compilations to raise money for aid in Gaza, organised by Netherlands (via London) based artist, Birds is to be released on 30/10/23, with volumes 2 and 3 to follow just days apart. Bertram is an Amsterdam-based producer, DJ, and event organiser from Aruba. He’s active for almost 10 years in the underground scene in Amsterdam where he has developed his distinctive sound. His latest album ‘Lights out’ was released on the Dutch cult label Pinkman Records on September 22nd. This received support from Silent Servant (†) Jennifer Cardini, Gamma Intel, and many others. He has also released on Dead Channel, Sons of Traders, and Filmmaker's Body Musick, with his latest on Marguerite Records for his first of 2024. He offers a left-field take on electro, techno, EBM, breaks with surprise selections in between. He is a curator at Galactic Funk and hosts his shows on Operator Radio. He brings an immense passion for music.
