Maai proudly presents a split EP featuring two distinguished Barcelona based talents. On the A side, the Peruvian trio of JJ Beteta, Alonso Bauer and Stefan Cukic delivers a dynamic array of tracks. "Layers" kicks off with an energetic blend of dusty breaks, setting the vibe for the EP. Following this, "Go The Data" takes over with its driving acid bassline, strong rhythm, for a dark and hypnotic vibe. The trio wraps up their side with "Wonky Afthermath," a subtle yet funky combination of deep, groovy elements and breaks that keeps the energy flowing.

On the B side, Canarian artist Javier Carballo, performing under his Look Perry alias, offers a captivating contrast. "I Can't Love U" introduces a track enriched with otherworldly pads and synths, creating an immersive sonic environment. The EP concludes with "Stone Pilots", which takes listeners on a smooth journey through intricate breaks, providing a perfect counterpoint to the A side’s energetic flair. We are Uri and Paula from Algorythm, and Pau and Javi from Reverse Records, and we are excited to announce the upcoming launch of the charity VA compilation UNITS, which will be available on Thursday, November 28, 2024, through our dedicated Bandcamp platform, Terreta. This platform has been specifically created for this important project to support Valencia in the wake of the devastating floods.

The title UNITS means "united" in Valenciano, representing the collective effort of all artists, supporters, and collaborators involved in this initiative. This project would not have been possible without the support of the Dias de Campo Festival, Oven Club, Algorythm, and Reverse Records.

Attached, you will find the official artwork for the compilation, which symbolizes the unity and purpose behind this release.

A reminder to all participating artists: each track in the compilation has been renamed to reflect the name of an affected area in Valencia. This was done to honor and pay tribute to the communities most impacted by the recent floods.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all the artists who have contributed their talent and generosity to make this project a reality. Below is the incredible lineup of artists featured in the compilation.

Please note that 100% of the proceeds from this compilation will be donated to the Artists for Valencia Foundation, which will ensure that the funds are managed with transparency and fairness.
