Catalina (Brussels, Belgium)

Hailing from Romania, Catalina’s musical interests were shaped by her years spent in the clubs of London, listening to a variety of UK-inspired genres. She made headway by playing renowned clubs such as XOYO, Corsica Studios and Printworks and featuring on radio stations such as @balamii ⚡️ Since moving back to her hometown of Brussels, @catalinaprc has made mixes for online radio stations @kiosk.radio and the @thewordradio ✨

RÓ (Berlin, Germany)

RÓ started DJing a couple of years ago and is bringing the the breaks & techno. 💥 Production was something she’d always thought about getting into, lockdown seeming like an optimal time to start.

Wahine (Atlanta, GA)

@wahine_dj is a lifelong dancer. A DJ since 2004, she specialises in house, disco, funk and world music. She co-hosts the Spin City radio show on @myhouseradiofm and was like the winner of the @defectedcroatia mix contest 2019. 💫

Angelica (London, UK)

Angelica (DJ name “beloved) is 24 and began teaching herself how to DJ in the 2nd UK national lockdown in 2020. Her mixing style is unique and playful; celebrating old and new dance classics from around the world. 🌎 Find more of her sounds on SoundCloud at /lipglosss

This moment had been a long time coming, years worth of training and practise came down to a short frame of around ten seconds in which all else hung in the balance. This was not a game, oh no quite the opposite.

As the floodlights dimmed he tried to drown out the noise from the rowdy and excitable crowd of onlookers who knew not who he was or what he was about. For them this was quite simply entertainment, a night on the town and chance to gloat the next day stood by water coolers and over paperwork.

For him this was much more, this was science in sport. He got ready to throw the first punch...

Mantissa release a new EP from Bristol based producer Bex. This is her second release and comes hot off the heels of a late 2021 release which made quite the statement.

This time her energy has been channeled into the return of nightlife and experiences on the dancefloor. Purpose built for the clubs, this one goes deep and "Sport In Science" was our pick of the bunch..

@mantissa1’s second venture into the label space comes from Bristol-born DJ / producer & radio host @bex_dj. Percussive, heavy, bolty and jolty, the record is full of moments destined for those wanting to lose themselves on the dancefloor through Bex’s signature emotive soundscapes.
 
Dance music’s most notorious producer “Unknown Artist” returns for remix duties for the final track of the record. Straight to the point its four four and tempered groove, understated ravey percussion and spacey melodies expertly amalgamates what made Mantissa 001 so unique with what makes 002 so special.

'BOOR' is a collaborative EP between WOMEN*S PRODUCER GROUP founder @bex_dj and former alt-j member @user-507575380 (LOOR). Taking inspiration from the game 'Consequences', each producer started a track and then handed it over to the other to take in any subsequent direction.

Fellow Bristol producer @boulderheaduk is on remix duties for the title track ‘7am Sessions’, bringing his signature bouncy electronic goodness.
