Anomaly

The original song "You're The Best" from the original Karate Kid (1984) has been one of my favorite songs since childhood.  The desire to make an EDM remix is literally what prompted me to start looking into music production at all.  

The Karate Kid series is near and dear to me.  With the final season of Cobra Kai on the horizon, I felt like it was time to bring this song back with a modern twist.  I hope to have done it justice in the eyes of fellow Karate Kid fans.

You can hear in the sounds the inner turmoil of the characters: the children who do not yet fully comprehend what is happening and the adults who try to hold on to hope in the face of unimaginable fear.

From haunting melodies that echo the emptiness of a lost home to surging orchestrations that mirror the turbulent sea, this soundtrack captures the full spectrum of human emotion in times of war. Ladat, born Ladislav Tesar, is Litomerice (Czech republic) native, body and soul, who writes and composes his music in Chatel-St-Denis, Switzerland. Ladat is not a band in the true sense of the word, but rather a musical project that emerged in 2019 as an escape from reality, because things go better with music.

Ladat's musical odyssey defies conventional labels and freely blends elements of rock, folk, country, and jazz into a rich and genre-bending style that invites listeners to explore the diverse spectrum of influences that shape his emotional and diverse compositions.
