Extremely limited, only 300 copies of this 12 minute dub wig-out have been pressed and they've promised no represses and certainly no digital. Cosmic with a heavy lolloping bass plod (think Norway's burgeoning sound in the mid noughties) expect to be completely washed out by shimmering oceanic guitar strums that sound like a really slo-mo, heavily processed sample of Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" (but probably aren't). 
As the groove spirals into hypnotic bliss, the 12 minutes pass with a blink of the eye. 
Deliciously deep; Even a 30 minute edit of this wouldn't be long enough.

Just what you want to hear if you see HARVEY at 3am: a 12-minute long, deep, dubby, trippy, hypnotic disco workout that fuses guitar licks with chunky drums. 
It’s one of those tracks you’re already loving before the vocal drops in, meaning when it does a dancefloor orgasm isn’t out of the question.

20 year dance music industry veteran John Noseda makes a standout debut on Agoria's Sapiens label with a new single featuring Surahn that very much shows off his subtly euphoric and truly emotional house sound. Adding to the essential package is a remix from disco icon Prins Thomas. 

Belgian born Noseda has been running clubs and events such as Kitsch Club, Club 69, WECANDANCE and more recently John The Club and Klub Dramatik Festival for many years. He recently branched out into production after decades of collecting records and DJing, and has a real analogue sound that is perfectly escapist. He has unconditional love for disco, Italo, EBM and house that always shows in his music. It has already been played at iconic clubs like DC10 and Berghain's Panoramabar, and here he works with Australian DFA, Sony and Future Classic artist Surahn to stunning effect. Surahn has played every major festival on the planet from Glastonbury to Coachella, topped the Billboard charts with his collaborative album with Usher and is a founding member of pioneering disco band The Swiss. Always pushing boundaries with his music, he is a world renowned talent who brings real class to this track. 'Our Time Will Come Again' is a deeply immersive house roller, with lush sunset chords and balearic keys that take you to the beach. The mood is melancholic and thoughtful, with gorgeous breakdowns and Surahn's spine tingling vocals adding another layer of emotion that makes a lasting impact. The dub version strips things back to the warm, rubbery beats and perfectly lazy grooves that encourage you to sink and allow your mind to wander. 

Then comes the dazzling remix from Prins Thomas that displays all the usual melodic magic and escapist grooves the world has come to expect from this Nordic icon. He is boss of his own Full Pupp label and deals in neo-disco, house-not-house and plenty in between. He is famously laid back but his sound is super luxurious and has very much defined an era.
This is a stunning new package once again from Sapiens.

Beyond The Struttosphere is a new collaboration between Leo Strutt (Strutt Bros DJs) and Ben Chetwood (Flying Mojito Bros, Damian Lazarus’s Ancient Moons) aimed at channelling their considerable musical production experience and boundless love of cosmic dark disco. Their first track, New Frontier, was self-released late in 2019 and is a slow-burning chug through the cosmos, littered with spacey vintage synth motifs and crunchy power chords. It found much acclaim among Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnson’s A Love From Outer Space online fraternity, and was featured in The Juan Mclean’s (DFA Records) recent contribution to Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space mix series. The original is given a makeover by K-Effect, a stalwart of the dark disco scene. His take meanders down a progressive cosmic wormhole with driving basslines and trippy synth riffs that drive the tune to its spaced-out finale. 

The boys are back with a new offering on Gouranga Music, Rolling Thunder, a faster, more forthright dancefloor-orientated affair that means business. Complete with gnarly arpeggiator riffs, swirling psychedelic delay lines, a trippy vocal sample borrowed from Platoon, and their now trademark driven guitar power chords. The title track has been given the remix treatment by two aficionados of the scene, firstly the Mexican dark disco wizard Mufti turns up the heat, beefs up the bass, and dials the chug up to 11 to deliver a solid dancefloor destroyer. Cosmic disco legend James Rod delivers a second remix that strips the track right back to its core elements resulting in a minimal slow burner filled with dirty analogue electronics that builds up like a pressure cooker as the track progresses towards its conclusion. The EP finishes with a third remix by the in-house label crew, Gouranga Clan, which reimagines the track as a driving interstellar trip that is sure to spin out a few right-minded partygoers!

Beyond The Struttopshere is a sonic collaboration between two London-based DJs channelling their considerable musical production experience and boundless love of cosmic chugging dark disco. Their debut EP ‘New Frontier’ was released on Gouranga Music in late 2020 and found much acclaim among Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston’s A Love From Outer Space online fraternity, also appearing on Juan Mclean’s (DFA Records) contribution to Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space mix series. This propelled the duo to newfound heights, leading to highly lauded releases on esteemed labels including Mélopée Records, Astrolead Recordings, Discolypso, In Dark We Trust, Emerald & Doreen and most recently X-PRESSINGS. Beyond The Struttosphere’s music is now making sonic reverberations around the globe, hitting the airwaves of Burning Man, ADE and Sisyphos Berlin, and notching up remixes from notable legends of the scene including Rebolledo, Rigopolar, Vongold, Badknife and Mufti. The cosmonauts are always immersed in the studio, working on new material, with live guitar now a mainstay of their productions. Their trademark sound combines fat chugging basslines with reverbed guitar riffs, syncopated arpeggiators, cosmic synths, vintage vocal samples, Italo drum fills and psychedelic 303 sequences.
