Hi and Welcome to Italo Moderni

Almost weekend and we are releasing a new inspiring mix by the Programmer at Operator radio, event producer, cultural researcher and dj; Krismika is heavily involved both on and off stage in Rotterdam's nightlife. Her sound is heavily influenced by the months she spent in Prague in 2021. She saw here that the sound of Prague's nightlife was a lot darker and gloomier than what she knew from Rotterdam. As a dj her sound yields a broad selection of tunes within the genres of Electro, New Beat, EBM, Wave and Italo. A dark combination destined to get (and keep) you dancing.

I make weird music for weird people. I tried to copy what I hear in the work of others but I always end up with different music solutions. I thought that was the wrong way till I started focusing on the timbre and it helped me to burst out. I spent ages with the analog synthesizers looking for that right tone color and little by little the music structure came up on its own.

Later I added guitar sound and different solutions of percussion which led me to minimize the digital sound from my work eventually.

My strange and odd voice component came last. I had a certain phrase in my mind that completed the melody perfectly. So I started using my voice to get the right tone color more often, even though I said that I would never be a singer in the past.

I am more of a night person, usually, I find peace in my mind which is a must for music making.
