Rogeshan Govender aka Rogan Barry Comins, the DJ I'd have at all my parties, one of the only DJ's I could trust behind a DJ desk and one of 3 people I could trust with an AUX cable over a long distance of driving.

Rogeshan's musical library ranges from standing on a DJ desk at an outdoor festival to sitting in a corner hugging your knees rocking back and forth crying.

Playing to big crowds and clubs is one thing but having the musical range to put something like his Bobby's Shop mix together tells you enough about how underrated this boy is as a selector.

We met in 2001, George was working at YDE, Pavilion then. One of the best storytellers you'll ever meet, this man can tell you some stories about anything leaving you in tears laughing.

George was playing at Society down the road from De la Sol.  After my DJ lessons at De la Sol, I'd walk down the road to go practice with George during his sets. It was more often than not that I used to get the "Just hold on cuz". I was too eager. 

Being a great storyteller plays a huge roll in George's sets, his passion to make you listen comes out in this special mix from him.

Uncle Dean and I have only known each other for a few months but this is a selector I feel I've known from the time I started playing.  It's not everyday you meet DJ's who know the ins and outs of the music industry across the globe, constantly wanting to learn and a master of the music curation art.

Uncle Dean's taste in music is pure soul and class.  As much as Uncle Dean loves asking questions, Uncle Dean loves his 90's classics like no other.  Easily one of my top 5 DJ's I've listened to.

Volume 5 mixed by Erwin G, Durban

Erwin G's club experience from an early age makes him stand out above the rest when it comes to music curation and etiquette, an art that's been lost over the years.  His constant reliability behind the decks at every party is what makes him that DJ to have on any line up.

Erwin is the only DJ I know that owns every vinyl ever pressed before release, his detailed knowledge of Old School R&B and Funk is what made him notorious for filling floors at venues like Reform Club and TILT in the early 2000's which is exactly what Erwin puts together in his Bobby's Shop Selectors mix.  You can't teach groove.
