Neues Jahr, Neues Glück  - Wir sind zuversichtlich, dass 2022 gut wird! Den schwungvollen Auftakt wagen wir mit Paqueta von den Amigos der Sumpfkrüge-Crew aus Berlin. Als Mitbegründer der Kumblz-Crew aus Tübingen ist er sehr umtriebig und auch das neue Projekt KRUG Records wird die Sumpfkrüge mit der Labelgründung um eine interessante Facette erweitern. Man darf gespannt sein was man von ihnen noch so hören wird. 
Mit einer vielversprechenden Vinylsammlung eröffnet er unsere 92te Igelkarussell Ausgabe. Bunt und dynamisch im Sound pfeift uns Päqules Set schnell Freude in die Bude. Mit seiner genreübergreifenden Trackauswahl kommt er immer wieder mit 'ner Überraschung um die Ecke, die uns aus den Socken haut und schon fast die Sorgen der Pandemie vergessen lässt. Dabei erkennt man schnell seine Vorlieben für die vielseitigen Genres wie Downbeat, Ketapop, SlowTech, Funk, Disco & World. Seiner Philosophie: „Diggin Deep & travel wide“ bleibt er dabei stets treu.

Der Frühling scheint in greifbarer nähe zu sein, die Sonne holt alles aus sich raus, die Vögel singen dazu ganz frohlockend.
So schallt es auch im 96ten Igelkarussell ganz laut und fröhlich, dies mal von Hannes alias AHAB ( @c-p-t_ahab ) von der @after-aua Crew. Gemeinsam mit seinen Crew-Members kuratiert der Wahlberliner eine Hauseigene Podcast-Serie unter der gleichnamigen Botschaft : After Aua. Rund 2 Jahre ist er nun hinter den Decks zu finden und blickt seitdem auf schöne Events zurück, auf denen er bereits spielte, wie etwa dem @zzdw. Zudem wird er  dieses Jahr auf dem Freirausch Festival (@user-293797348) spielen. Letzterem widmet er seinen Podcast... Im Vorjahr muss es wohl ein wahrhaft magisches Festival gewesen sein, wie er selbst berichtet. Dort half er nicht nur beim Aufbau, sondern  verbrachte dort die Zeit seines Lebens. Bei sintflutartigen Regengüssen tanzte die ganze Meute aus vollem Herzen und als sich Wolken langsam verzogen erschienen plötzlich zwei Regenbögen am Horizont, eine wahrliche Krönung einer ganz zauberhaften Szenerie. Der Hashtag #Dreamtempo vereint dieses Erlebnis und macht es zum Motto des Mixes.
Für seine Verhältnisse kommt der Mix mit 113 Bpm zwar recht flott um die Ecke, zeigt uns aber wieder ein mal mehr, dass die Bpm-Zahl allein keine Einordnung in energetisch oder langsam zulässt. Sphärische Klänge gepaart mit intelligenten Grooves erzeugen eine fulminante Wirkung. Der Flow der sich von Anfang bis Ende durchzieht erlaubt es einem nicht, den Mix auszuschalten. Fast wie in Trance gefangen muss man diesen Mix bis zum Ende durchhören - Hört rein und lasst euch verzaubern 🌀

Steve Sibra is no newcomer to the French electronic music scene. Active since 1999, he has already released several albums and around forty EPs. 
Originally from Paris but now based in Montpellier in the south of France, Steve is a radio man. For many years, he hosted Laboratoire Sonore on Montpellier 91 FM, where he welcomed the cream of international artists to his show. 

Steve joined the Brique Rouge team in 2022 and, in just a few releases, has risen to become one of the core artists shaping the label's sound. He brings his inimitable touch of melancholic deep techno and melodic, cinematic soft house, sometimes infusing it with a strong electro influence and a few experimental touches. The quality of his productions having won over everyone who listened to them, it was only natural to (finally) offer an album that allows listeners to enter Steve's dancefloor universe.  

And what an album! With 21 tracks, it's more than an adventure, it's a huge sonic trip that draws you in from the very first track and takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions, vibrations, and sensations that doesn't let go until the very last track. It's a coherent universe, where every note is weighed for a minimalist approach to a melodious groove. 

Sometimes leaning towards “sunset music,” sometimes towards a slightly darker melancholy, Telepath Voodoo leaves no one indifferent, and each listen brings its own set of details and surprises.  So listen to it loud, listen to it on headphones, listen to it while dancing or meditating, but let yourself be carried away on this long journey that Steve Sibra offers you.  Undoubtedly one of the most important French House and Electronic artists of the moment.

Created in 1999 by David Duriez, the independent French label Brique Rouge continues to promote the electronic sound that David has always believed in and defended. Far from the formatting and excessive vulgarity of the current electronic scene, the label promotes an eclectic electronic sound that remains rooted in the underground and, above all, in a clubbing vibe.  In general, the artists on the team are given carte blanche, and it is above all the spirit that counts. The label does not seek success; it is a success. The success of being able to release music without compromise. With one release per week on platforms since 2020, the label (and its divisions RZ Muzik & Obliqu3) is seen as a key player in the French underground electronic scene due to its activism.
