Reflecting Ben’s own outlook, that is fun-loving and never too serious, Eternal Sunshine is exactly as the name suggests - an outlet rooted in the feelgood sensations you get when it’s sunny. As one half of the iconic Adana Twins, Ben has established his credentials as a selector, producer and label owner/A&R. Eternal Sunshine marks his next big step as a solo artist, delving deep into the music he loves, and giving him the space and freedom to combine his beloved house music with a range of styles that are personal to him.
 
Ben’s heartbeat pumps to the rhythm of nineties hip hop and RnB, it’s food for his soul and provides the inspiration to much of the music he produces. It was a golden era, pre-internet, yet still so immersed in technology. The roots of his sound are embedded in that special time and the energy of the nineties reverberates through his compositions. He describes it as a fire that burns inside him, the need to channel the vibrations of that era, with those genres at the forefront of his creative ambitions.
 
It’s high-energy rave music, which will ignite dance floors and provide Ben with a personalised blank canvas within which he can experiment with the music that inspires him. Already working with a variety of vocalists, and with a clear and definite intention behind this new endeavour, Ben is entering a new field of inspiration. Lover of most forms of electronic / club music. My big obsession is 90s house and trance but I also like soul, funk, disco and synth / new wave. Spent lots of time in clubs, especially in the 90s at various venues across the UK and Ibiza. Personal Clubbing Journey through the magnificent 1990s: UK - Hong Kong - Japan
The Brickhouse & The Hacienda during the 1991 Madchester era... I then took a sabbatical to be a cruise ship doctor in the Caribbean in 1992-93.
In 1994 Club Maximus in Leicester Square, London was an epicentre for acid trance. In 1995 The Fridge in Brixton hosted Return To The Source, Goa trance legends who played at the Waterfront in Norwich on my mate's Stag Do, the night before his wedding!
Strawberry Sundae's first night was in a sweaty basement on Drury Lane, and later moved under the Vauxhall railway arches...which was just down the road from the Best Club Ever- Sunnyside Up!
In 1995 I visited clubs all around the UK: The Hippo Club in my home town of Cardiff, Lakota in Bristol; Liverpool's famous Cream, Blackpool Palace, The Vault in Edinburgh, Back To Basics in Leeds...and The Ministry Of Sound, Turnmills & Heaven in London.
Then onto Hong Kong for 2 years, 1996/97 where DJ Lee Burridge started off his career in some seedy little clubs in Wanchai. Moving to Japan for the next 4 years, we had a blast at Chikuya Club, The Liquid Room, Maniac Love, Yokohama Bay Hall, and the Fuji trance festival. Saw Paul Van Dyk live at Akasaka Blitz...
