Jon has been a DJ since 1991 
He has played around the globe from London to Buenos Aires via Ibiza and Tokyo and everywhere in between. 
He released two top 30 UK singles on the Perfecto label in the 1990's and two undergound 12"s on the Wall of Sound label between 2001-2004. 
He released a series of 3 tracks featuring vocalist Susy K on the Planet Acetate label in 2012 and is working on new material.
He has DJ'ed alongside the cream of international DJ's from Jacques Lu Cont, Too Many DJ's Sasha, Weatherall & Carl Cox through to Erol Alkan, and a million others along the way.

Remember when going out used to be fun? Do you prefer dancing to posing? Does your idea of dressing to impress have nothing to do with designer labels and everything to do with finding a gorilla costume in the perfect shade of purple? Bored of identikit ‘edgy’ nights called Fraktion, Elastik, and other ironically misspelled words? Well despair no more because THE HONG KONG PING PONG CLUB is here to restore your faith in the weekends!

During the late 00’s in the farthest flung reaches of the South West a group of friends were brought together by a mutual love of good music. With roots in Funk, Hip Hop, Big Beat and Breaks they had a no holds barred attitude
to their tune selection, playing a multi genre smorgasbord each bringing their own flavour to the mix.

Refusing to be pigeonholed and taking inspiration from nights like ‘The Heavenly Social’ and ‘The Big Beat Boutique’ ‘The Hong Kong Ping Pong Club’ was conceived. They rapidly gained a loyal party loving following at their spiritual home and residency ‘The Watermans’ in Falmouth and were soon playing host to the great and good within the scene.

Thrusting themselves in to the limelight with the infamous ‘Mixtape’ series the next logical step was to take the show on the road and bookings for booths in clubs and stages in fields quickly followed.

They have become a main stay at Shindig Festival, Shambala, Leopallooza and The Great Estate and have recently started to once again promote their own night’s back in Falmouth at The Underland Bar.

They love The Hong Kong Ping Pong Club and if you are inclined to dance like a drunken-hands-in-the-air Viking to bootie shakingly good music you’ll like it too!

For over two decades, Sophie Lloyd has earned her stripes on the global dance music scene by producing tracks and performing DJ sets that appeal to both music industry tastemakers and dance music fans alike.

A proud member of the Defected family, Sophie has graced stages at their renowned festivals in Ibiza, Croatia, Malta, and London, and as a Glitterbox resident, Sophie has become synonymous with the glamorous and hedonistic spirit of the iconic brand.

In 2018, she signed to Classic Music Company, a standout moment came with the release of "Calling Out," a collaboration with Detroit trio Dames Brown. The single, with its soulful gospel groove, garnered over 10 million streams on Spotify, solidifying Sophie's status as a force to be reckoned with. Notably, she has claimed two Tracksource No.1 spots. Remixes by the likes of Floorplan, Danny Krivit, Luke Solomon, Riva Starr, and David Penn have further elevated her standing in the music world. Continuing her journey, Sophie has collaborated with renowned vocalists such as Faithless’ Pauline Taylor on Angels By My Side,  Amy Douglas with Sweet Love and latest release with Fi McClusky. Her discography includes remixes for artists ranging from Shapeshifters to Donna Allen to Midnight Magic, showcasing her versatility and creative depth. A forthcoming collaboration with Phenomenal Handclap Band from NYC is sure to add new dimensions to her already illustrious career.

In the realm of radio, Sophie is a commanding presence with shows on Defected Broadcasting House and 1BTN, proving herself as a discerning selector with an ear for the finest tunes. From closing Glastonbury's Greenpeace stage, playing Tomorrowland, Hii Ibiza, Snowbombing, and the Brixton Disco Festival, Sophie has left an indelible mark on stages across the UK and Europe.

As she looks to the future, Sophie remains at the forefront of the music scene, with upcoming shows across Europe this summer and forthcoming releases this Spring on Glitterbox, Love Attack, Partyfine and Revival Records.
