This track was created in reflection of the delicacy of the skin. The skin of humans and other creatures, as well as the "skin" of plants... the differences in consistency, fragility, tonality, etc. 
We'd always found ourselves fascinated at how most folks "rave" about roses... for all sorts of "holiday" arrangements for giving to most of the women in folks lives. But, what consideration is given to those of us who've become allergic to them? One of the reasons we find this to be fascinating is folks want to insist everyone MUST BE: happy, joyful, kind, all love and light, sunshine, rainbows, etc. Yet, though most feel the rose is adored by all and thusly, should be adorned by all... how often we FORGET about the thorns that reside alongside the flower we are trained to love and BElieve all should appreciate. I mean, they're quite expensive and the act of forking out the money for them should be in and of itself a show of our affection, right? We don't BElieve or feel such nonsense. 
In fact, as far back as we can remember, we'd always uttered a soliloquy of appreciation to the lovely contours and colors of the stems and thorns that support the adorned, atop, rose. There's often a seemingly "sensual dance" within both of the typically green and burgundy wine colors that entangle within the stem and thorns. Where does the burgundy come forth... is it part of the rose's color that doesn't feel worthy or have the energy to make it to the rose, before its life is quickly snipped to adorn someone's wrist, hair, or other arrangement bouquet? What if we take this same inquisitive and appreciative approach to the hearts, minds, souls, bodies of others? What if we approach with the delicacy we may harm the individual if we approach too quickly, try to simply "grab and go" with our wants, needs, desired goals for us, for them, etc. Some may bleed a little, some... if the blood or arising emotions too thin or too near the surface (of the skin,) may cause a great deal of bleeding or tear potentially requiring a long time to heal any wound created by our careless or mindless approach. Not everyone has the same amount of padding or thick exterior, despite what we are initially shown or told to perceive or receive. So perhaps, we can opt to stop, look, listen, and appreciate all the subtleties and intricacies of the thorns, the stems, the life events that create the life before us... instead of simply appreciating what we've been trained to think are the most valuable parts of a living BEing.
