Larry Simmons the lead singer and Tracy Andre (Cool) Simmons the bass player and back up vocals are brothers, both born in Freeport, Illinois.  The brothers graduated from Freeport Senior High School.  They formed the band "Simmons" in 1986.  Larry graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton Texas where he studied Radio, Television and Film with emphasis on Filmmaking.  The brothers formed Sinnamon Boyz Productions and wrote, directed and produced an award winning student short film titled "A Letter for Dorrie" which can be viewed on YouTube.  The brothers goal is to make more great music and films.

my focus is learning different styles and genres of music without limitations.my focus for music is versatility.my strategy, for me is I never focus ,  stress,write down or remember  lyrics or words.i rap or sing straight from the brain to the mic.no rehearsal.i sing or rap what I feel right then and there.quick and simple.so I rarely focus on how my songs and raps sound . music is a good way to express yourself at times.
