@OlimpiadaRecords is a new independent record label based between Brighton (UK) and Tirana (Albania).

For their first release they invited the always excellent @freudenthal from Berlin.

Vlora Sun' was born out of an improvised video live session Thomas did for Radioblog Tirana's 'Eyeblog' during his stay in the Albanian south coast city of Vlora. It's a disco tune with a positive feel, layers of dreamy synths, melodic scales and pulsating bass lines mirroring the mediterranean summer. @KEffectMusik remix stays quite truthful to the original but with some added bass and giving some acid touches.

Zakmina, based in Vilnius, is the latest artist to come out of the thriving Lithuanian scene. We'd love to tell you more about him but we don't know much more ourselves.  Very promising first EP though and we look forward to hearing much more

Balam drops his first release for Playground Records: three tracks for the mix with artificially organic sounds and reminiscences of technological rituals. They are accompanied by three remixes from the hand of @rodion_gomma, @JackWasFaster and Leonor.

Rodion remix of Machete track that oscillates between smooth and rugged textures. The frontline is occupied by a very present and tireless baseline, which leaves enough space for the voices from the original track to make an appearance together with new elements that leave an acid taste in the mouth.

Every now and again a track comes along which is weird enough to bend your mind, bold enough to steal your soul for 6 minutes 30 seconds, dark enough to get lost in and packs a groove which takes your feet away.
Buenos Aires based Balam drops his first EP for Playground Records, one of the highlights of this forthcoming EP is Adelante. A slow paced lazer guided stomper which packs a synth part which could hypnotize a cobra.
A subtle menacing bassline lays beneath jittery snaps hats and snares which are only enhanced by the acid sounds which make themselves more apparent after the breakdown. 
Balam has been making a name for himself with releases and remixes on Esthetique and Playground and this track will no doubt be filling the Rekordboxes of any decent DJ worth his salt over the next few months. Expect to hear more from this guy!
