The Recordist is an audio production company founded by Frank Bry in 1986 with digital sound sample offerings for Digital Sampling Keyboards. With the success of these libraries, the company expanded by offering high end digital sample CD-ROMs for the Emu Emulator IIIx, Emulator IV, synthesizer programming for Waldorf Electronics and Emu Systems, and custom sound design for video, film, radio and television. He then expanded into custom sound effects design and recording for leading sound effects CD library developers.

As demand increased for high quality sound design for multimedia and video games he formed a division that specialized in sound for new media. 

The Recordist offers the massive Ultimate SFX series of professional HD sound effects libraries and our SoundBox HD sound effect collections.

Each SoundBox HD Pro contains an incredible collection of unique and difficult to record sound effects in multiple formats up to 24-Bit 192kHz with Soundminer and Pro Tools Metadata embedded.

Paul Andrews was a founding member and singer/songwriter in Sydney band Lazy Susan, which spent most of the 2000s flirting at the edges of awareness of Australia’s more informed music-loving public.
During the band’s 14-year history (Lazy Susan disbanded in 2012), Paul was the driving force behind its four albums, six EPs, and hundreds of shows, festival appearances, and opening for international touring acts, like Brian Wilson and the Violent Femmes.
Recording and performing under the name Family Fold since Lazy Susan broke up in 2012, Paul’s new album, Ashfield Skyline, is due for release on Friday 5 October, 2018 and is his most assured to date.
Recorded and produced by Nashville-based producer, engineer and musician, Brad Jones, Ashfield Skyline represents a new high water mark in Paul’s songwriting. 
It’s another high quality brace of songs following on the heels of Family Fold’s debut 11-track album, Lustre Glo, in 2015.
