DARK AMBIENT - IN STASIS

This more ambient , peaceful track I wanted to keep quite simple. Ive always loved the sound of Uilleann pipes and although not a patch on the extraordinary sound of real ones this is I hope a passable digital imitation. Some of the fx / percussion sounds earlier in the track is a blackbird thats been processed / digitalised until its no longer recognisable. At the end of the song it changes back into a real bird - hence the title .. hope you enjoy - Spinger

I made this short collection of microsound collages in the early hours of the morning before work. They began to take on a restful dream-like quality which I enhanced by imagining nocturnal scenes, cave systems, caverns, islands, and night skies. The title of the EP makes a tentative reference to Aldous Huxley’s Utopian classic ‘The Island’. I hope that the listener, too is transported to imaginary places of their own and feels rested by this music.
