This song really made an impression on me 
when I had already started playing the guitar
(more than 30 years ago...)
It was at Christmas dinner in 1979 
at my parents’ house.
At the end of the meal, my two older brothers had
a jam session. (Photo)
They played this track, with my eldest brother
Phi Van singing lead vocals and my second oldest brother
Phi Hai accompanying on guitar and singing backup vocals.
I didn't often see them sing together,
because they were almost never there for special occasions...
I told myself I had to play it and sing along.
Except that I quickly gave up...
I was all alone singing with my guitar,
and it sounded very hollow! 🙂

Since August, I set myself a CHALLENGE:
To do all my covers myself 
(recording the guitar, vocals, and mixing).
The vocals are fine, the guitar isn't quite there yet.
But the mixing is a real headache. 😩
I think it will take a lot of time and practice of the mixing.
I still have a long way to go...

I really like this song.
Since I don't know how to sing choirs
To fill out the track, I did some Fingerpicking
(I've been practicing since the end of October, it was hard...)
I did a lot of takes to get there. It's not great!
I recorded the vocals and guitar accompaniment
at the same time and in one take.
There are still quite a few imperfections...
