Sometimes I feel like we all carry little stories inside us —
moments we’ve lived, people we’ve loved,
tucked away like letters in a drawer.
And then, out of nowhere — a smell, a sound, a song —
opens that drawer again.
Suddenly you’re right back there, in a place you thought you’d left behind.
Some people say, “Let the past stay in the past.”
But I don’t think it ever really leaves.
It just hides for a while,
waiting for something — or someone — to wake it up again.
My new song is about that moment —
when memory comes alive,
and you realize: everything you’ve been through
is still part of who you are.
The song’s called “Don’t Let the Stories Sleep.”

the smell of summer raindrops,
the song we used to hum.
Time has softly faded
those pictures from my mind,
but sometimes just one moment
brings them all to life.
