Produced by three-time Grammy winner Bush, the 14-song set includes appearances by Del McCoury, Edgar Meyer, Jerry Douglas and, thanks to the discovery of an old demo, New Grass Revival co-founder Courtney Johnson (posthumously). The album also employs the phenomenal talent of Bush’s band: Scott Vestal, Stephen Mougin, Byron House and Chris Brown.

This is my super quick version of I'll Fly Away based on the harmonies that I probably stole from the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack.  It's kind of a proof of concept.  I've never gotten to sing this in full on three part harmony in real life, so I wasn't sure if what I was singing would work.  So basically, I recorded it, and then I got excited and added stuff, and now you get to hear it.  Hooray!

This is from a set of Covers I recorded in the spring and summer of 2007. I had sold all my nice electric guitars and amplifiers and pedals and even my Tascam 488MkII 8-track recorder. I had decided to go more 'bare-bones' and only acoustic...I was really into Bob Dylan at the time so I was also after a good acoustic guitar, and ended up buying a Gibson J-45 Historic Reissue from eBay. Unlike most of my other recordings, these songs are recorded on a cheaper Tascam 4 track recorder (Porta 03 Ministudio) which I bought on eBay for 30$.
