Early morning by little Rengaskari Reef, less than a mile from our shore. This is an excerpt from an over night recording. Had to do a low cut as there's been some low rumble from an unknown source that has affected all nightly recordings of this spring from the sea side. (and is still audible)

The first thing I wrote on the piece was the organ intro, I wanted to make something ecstatic and soulful, and the rest of the song flowed naturally into different sections. Three different moments within a quiet windless night. This is not an exceptional recording but I like the atmosphere anyway.
A howl, a fox and a blackbird can be heard as well as a frog and probably some rodents close to the tripod.
The microphones and the recorder have been left the whole night.
The photo has been shot in the morning when I came back to pick the stuff up.

Recorded with a Nagra Ares BB+, Neumann KM184, ORTF near my house, in la Creuse, France.

Very delighted to present my first collaboration with fellow ambient guitarist Ray aka Wodwo (@user-364196783-552705040), which we started and completed in July 2022 by sending recordings to and fro. Everything you hear is guitar or electric bass.

This record was created over the span of 6 months, from January to June, 2022.

Blurt is about errors, glitches in life and in consciousness. Finding peace in the chaos, and drifting into dreams.

Here I'm exploring more beat led themes as well as ambient/experimental electronics.

The gear used was a Tascam portable recorder, Korg Electribe Sampler, Tascam Portastudio 414 MKII, Modular Synthesiser, Elektron Digitakt, Roland TB-03, Microphones and Ableton Live.

Like a long walk on a favorite path and the introspection and observation that such a journey inspires, it is an album full of constantly evolving interplay between natural and imagined sound sources. Tactile sounds from the physical world combine with textured, processed synthesis to evoke the depth of experience available to us every day.

The Binaural Diaries is my collection of field recordings, or ‘sound photographs’.

Much of this work is created using a technique called 'binaural recording'. This is a method of recording sound that uses two microphones, arranged with the intent to create a 3-D stereo sound sensation for the listener of actually being in the environment that was captured.  Listen using headphones to enjoy this effect.

My current field recording setup comprises of a pair of Sound Professionals SP-TFB-2 binaural microphones and a Sony PCM M-10 recorder.
