The second strike of Leipzig’s new electro offshoot sets Friedrich Ernst on the offensive. With these four new tracks he progressed his sound signature from a playful but reflected 8bit world soundtrack on SELF001 to a firm and gritty b-boy attitude. With SELF002 the do-it-yourself label team of DJ Unisex and Friedrich Ernst back up nothing less than their label mission: "We believe in the human mind as a self-learning system" – and it has the basement dance in the eye. 
Classic electro otakus will parté about the succinct elements that fits each other seamlessly on Class Beat while the groove remains alert and phantasmagoric.
Back 2 The Ol_ Skool invites two breakdance crews to battle out who owns the floor: the pale electro robot boys on the left and the hoover sound loving UK hardcore girls on the right.
Wildstyle is the living proof that a tight 808 groove still smashes especially hard when complimented with a proper breakbeat. Best played loud and from vinyl.
The last bit of the whole enchilada is almost tranquilizing until you realise how far your stone rolled already. Rhythm Control is a crowd pleaser with endless qualities.
Collaboration partner Dominik Widmann delivers the stunning artwork again for their ongoing conceptual series with his acrylic paintings. Included as A2 inlay print in every record.

David Agrella returns to his Agrellomatica Records with the trippy house sounds of ‘Freedom Unfolding’, featuring remixes from N-Gynn & Beroshima.

Italian-born, London-based DJ and producer David Agrella’s reputation as one of the city’s must-check selectors continues to blossom as he explores the many shades of electronic music through his Bloop radio show and Agrellomatica Records imprint. Fresh from the label’s second release ‘Robot Romance’, supported by the likes of Laurent Garnier, Fred P, Jane Fitz, Jennifer Cardini and Rossko, Agrella returns to close March via his spaced-out house EP ‘Freedom Unfolding’. Remixes are delivered by London favourite N-Gynn (Pleasure Club) known for drawing on left-field, ravey sounds and esteemed German live techno act and Muller Records/Acid Orange boss Beroshima.

Elastic basslines and tumbling percussion unfasten the A-Side with ‘Walking Loud’ as sinister synths convulse around the beat before N-Gynn provides a frisky reshape with sharp snares, golden keys and subtle, loopy vocal samples on a chuggier tip. The eclectic experience continues on the B-Side with title track ‘Freedom Unfolding’ as swinging basslines carry dream-like pads and fluttering samples, while Beroshima’s acid-infused, broken beat rework provides an anthemic finale to the release.

PREMIERE : David Agrella - Freedom Unfolding (Beroshima Remix)

The rickety old station didn't see much thoroughfair, in fact barely a soul had been seen on the platforms for years. Many had moved on from the surrounding villages, it had become a ghostly place with little around to keep inhabitants there. People never passed through here, there were no visitors or holiday-makers, but every now and then a mysterious train would appear; where it was headed nobody knew - a train to nowhere without a destination.

Subfield boss, DJ and producer Mugwump is back with a brand new album. Pneuma follows his previous long players Unspell and Drape, and builds on the slow, psychedelic sounds that make up his sound world. This time he aims the release more at the dance floor, mixing leftfield house, krautrock, dubbed-out disco and electro across the LP's 10 tracks. Mugwump's sardonic and alert lyrics take centre stage on the original cuts and the handful of covers, one of UK band Swing Out Sister and another from influential rock band Television’s Tom Verlaine, as well as a collab' with Berlin chamber music duo Ceeys.

PREMIERE⚡Maore Wand - Heatwave [TAKT]

He'd become a master in the art of lying; his charm, wit and good looks helped him in that arena. The lines had blurred so much between fact and fiction that he almost believed his own tall tales these days - he'd created a persona that was so far removed from the way he used to be. Many of his old friends no longer felt like they knew him; his priorities had changed and somewhere along the road he'd lost himself.

Art punk ravers The Umlauts are following up their recent release for PRAH Recordings with a remix package featuring several producers and label alumni. Each bringing their own styles to the table, and all a perfect fit to amp up the frenzied energy of the originals, the EP rallies the likes of London based sound-designer Yuri Suzuki, Teleman drummer Hiro Ama and duo Uh, among many others. 

Speaking about Yuri Suzuki's track, the band said: "Yuri Suzuki’s remix of The Fact was pure joy to hear, we love it. It remedies the samba punk of the original with pure unfettered dance groove. Am I tapping my foot? Yes. Am I nodding my head? Yes again. Am I doing a slightly awkward side step? Indeed I am, oh yes. Yuri is the perfect birthing partner. Go and listen to everything else he has made, listen twice, it’s all brilliant."

UK born, Netherlands based artist Birds is a bit of a legend both in front of and behind the scenes of the music industry. With almost 15 years experience behind the decks, an eclectic record collection and an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of music, she also has a history of playing in guitar bands and has been an active part of the nightlife community for all of her adult life both in London and throughout the Netherlands, particularly in her current home of Rotterdam. 

She’s carved out a name for herself curating, managing and producing events at some of the countries’ finest venues and festivals already during the first two years of her life in The Netherlands, with her own record label Feed The Void also gathering support from world famous DJs throughout its (less than) 3 year existence. 

Her own music incorporates her diverse tastes with punky vocal led Acid Techno and Electro at the forefront and has released on labels such as Absorb Emit, Samo, Freeride Millennium, Ombra International, Höga Nord and more. Over the years she’s played everywhere from Melbourne, to Mexico City, to Zagreb as well as regularly at her home bases of The UK and The Netherlands, sharing line-ups with artists such as Boys Noize, Pablo Bozzi, Mad Miran, Alberta Balsam, Perel, Zohar, Annie Hall and more, whilst her tracks have had the remix treatment from the likes of Poly Chain, Ben Pest and Jerome Hill. 

As well as guest mixing and performing live regularly for the platforms such as Rinse FM, Operator, Future Intel and Balamii, she’s also been a part of the original Netil Radio show residents, playing herself every month and also curating a series of guests for her show for the last seven years.
