This track is a tribute to Vaughn Benjamin (Midnite/Akae Beka). I recorded it in the days after his passing last year. Its a reworking of the Midnite track "The Eyes Are The Light" from their debut album "Unpolished". The flute follows the melody of Vaughns vocals from the same song and then goes into part of the melody from the song "Propaganda" from the same album. The music of Midnite and later Akae Beka have been a huge influence on me and I feel blessed to have seen them perform live on several occasions and to have met Vaughn on a trip to the US some years ago.
