Live from Thailand, May 2025.  I was lucky enough to play the awesome Jungle Experience Koh Phangan party May 11th.  It's the monthly event on the island of Koh Phangan in Thailand the night before the famous full moon party there. Burning Man. The hardest place on earth and yet at the same time somehow the most amazing place on earth. I must have had a little magic playa dust in my pocket on Saturday as I somehow found myself DJing on the beloved Axolotl (BRC’s favorite flaming amphibian on wheels) from the moment the car left camp at 5:15 pm through sunset into the night, whilst parked at the Man on burn night, until YROC took over just before 9:00 pm.  Hands down one of the best experiences of my life and by far the best DJ experience of my life and thus the set absolutely needed to be re-created as it wasn’t captured live.  Thank you to everyone who had a hand in slightly tilting the universe in my favor that day, particularly my favorite three gals on earth, YROC, Jim, Preston, and all the beautiful people at Camp AXO.

It was Saturday at the Annual Camp Tasty Gathering, and the clock had just ticked past midnight. We we're Deep in the woods in Northern California celebrating the night, the stars and the trees. Such wonder these big Oak Trees possess... I was among awesome friends new and old all weekend sharing stories, laughs and hugs. We let some steam off with this one all gathered in the Big Top Tent, inflatable rafts and way too many lasers to count.

Writer by day, DJ by night. I'm Eddie Rios aka Black Panda. An Oakland-based DJ and producer with a deep appreciation for all things house, especially afro, deep, melodic, progressive, and classic. Co-lead of the BIPOC Beats Collective, a group of BIPOC Burners who want to diversify musical spaces on and off playa. I've also joined DJ/producer Justin Jay's production bootcamp for 2023-2024. 

Music builds an emotional connection and creates a connective tissue between mind, body, and soul. I'm hoping to make every moment memorable.
