        KODIAK JACK are a Portsmouth-based rock band, comprising Bryn Roberts (vocals), Matt Forster (drums), Kev Farren (bass), Jeff Arnold (lead guitar) and Jon Karp (guitar and backing vocals). 

Having already released (and sold out) two EPs on Angry Badger Records, the debut album is ready to go!  ‘Your Death: My Glory’ is composed like a Greatest Hits, there are no space fillers here, just 10 tracks of unbridled rock ‘n’ roll! 

From the rock behemoth that is ‘Crossfire’ with its cinderblock sized riff, through to the Sabbath-meets-Kiss of ‘Wasted Youth’ or the truly epic ‘We Are Your Saviours’, this album is bursting with pop hooks hiding behind rock guitars.

‘Waves’ marries a dirty riff with a soaring vocal to dazzling effect and the title track is destined to become a live favourite with the irresistible sing-a-long chorus.

In the last 12 months alone they have supported the likes of Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big), Kobra And The Lotus (twice) and New Device as well as selling out their own hometown headline shows.

More shows are booked for the second half of 2011 with a support slot in place with Slovenian rockers Elvis Jackson and plans for their first UK mini tour are also taking shape. Wasted Youth is featured on Metal Hammers 'Best of British' cover CD that is released in September 2011.

The time is now, the Kodiak Jack bandwagon is leaving, get on while you still can!

(Since I'm writing this myself I shouldn't use too many superlatives I suppose. That would be a bit suss. Mental note: words that are good- “good”...ummmm, maybe “great”. If called for)

Incidentally, I was just thinking- it miiiight have been better to pay someone else to do this- y'know, say nice things, draw dubious but impressive comparisons to great labels, generally concoct a lot of flim-flam for the cut-and-pasteables.

A duo of mystery and power, whose power is exceeded only by their mystery.

Slum Peepz is a duo with a dream. A very simple dream, mostly involving nachos and whiskey, but a dream nonetheless. Their music is recommended by 4 out of 5 people that recommend things.

The illegitimate love-children of Strategy and Creativity. Now neither parent admits to having them…

Some say in the summer of 1944, Slum Peepz single-handedly captured 93 German soldiers during the Battle of the Scheldt in southern Holland. In February 1945, they were involved in an accident when a tank struck mine a military carrier they were traveling in. The Slumz claimed to remember a loud blast followed by their bodies being thrown into the air and smashed down on their back. One broke his back in three places, shattered both ankles, and four ribs, the other used his Jedi Mind Tricks to walk away completely unharmed apart from a small splinter in his pinky finger. A week later they left the hospital and soon joined up with their old command. In 1945, the Slumz played a large role in the liberation of the city of Zwolle, Netherlands from Nazi control. They also fought in the Korean War, where the Slumz won another Distinguished Conduct Medal for capturing and holding a key hill.

Their freestyle rapping career didn't work out, so they made a leap to House Music instead. With their sound naturally and artificially flavoured.

But are they really supposed to describe themselves? How shallow - decide for yourself who they are.
