I remember renting this game from Blockbuster when I was an early teenager and it affected me. Not just the fact it's an intense horror franchise with great symbolism and psychological terror up the anty, it visually intrigued me to later make me appreciate the beauty that can be found in many other horror games and films but this one in perticular has certain asthetics that sets it apart from the other games in the franchise. Silent Hill 3 is my favourite of the series and one of my favourite horror games behind Resident Evil 3 and before Fear Effect 2 (yeah I know, a weird choice). And Heather Mason is just a fantastic female protaganist. 

Akira Yamaoka is a brilliant composer. It's a shame he doesn't do much with the SH games anymore after the travesty that was Homecoming! But he has a way to manipulate sounds and emotions with simple guitar twangs and strummings that moves me in other ways that other video game composers can't do.

Some more exprimental ideas and what not like usual. I'm not afraid to test out anything that comes to mind! :P A lot of Mars Volta influence in here.I messed around with a harsh slapback delay that can be achieved by experimenting with settings on the Boss ME-50, a multi-effects pedal I've used for years but never had the urge to dive into it's other enormous sounds it can produce. I highly recommend a Boss ME-50 if you can get a hold of one! Bloody brilliant stuff!
