Black Seven frontmen Dave and Mike, A.K.A BRODYR, return to their spiritual home for a long-awaited legacy release this summer. Giving us a slice of the foundational elements of one of Tech House’s fastest-rising labels, the Welsh duo turns in a trio of tracks built around a bed of cadent rhythms and sophisticated musicality.

‘Label Magic’ gets things moving with a core of punchy drums, swinging hat grooves and subtly layered percussion. Its racy bassline adds even more movement to the mix whilst an array of synths orbit the track alongside an introspective vocal.

‘Give A Dub’ comes next, bringing a unique late-night feel from the outset. Gently jackin’ drum work and shuffling hat sequences sit alongside a chorus of rich synth lines, vivid organ licks, rippling vox cuts and a catchy bassline melody.

‘No Sugar’ completes the release in true BSM fashion with a nostalgic twist. A certified big-room roller from the start, its driving low-frequency components are dusted off with copious instrumental flair and arpeggiating tones from beginning to end, whilst a cleverly worked vocal topline adds an undeniable air of familiarity.

Starting the EP we are bringing you the translation of what uncut gold will bring to the table. this track is a all round bad boy with trippy textured hats, hypnotic vocals and a fat baseline taking centre stage. it solidifies the heads down hands up vibe. the track has had wicked support from some of the industry heavy weights. One in particular Jamie Jones, as he's rinsed it all summer long on the terrace of amnesia to some of the most established festivals in the scene!

Finishing the EP Niteplan has blessed us with a mind bending remix, turning the original track into a slick technical roller in typical Niteplan fashion. This ones definitely going to cause a fire on any dance floor! The genius is known for cleverly placing samples showing them in there trippiest form, layered with wavey drums, textures and stabbing synths followed by percussion. Tunnel (Original Mix)

Titled Computer Datafiles, by artist Luca Lucena, the EP was inspired by sounds from the early 2000s, when electro house was starting to gain traction in the global electronic scene, still before it became commercialized and lost its character. Around 2004/2005, many tracks were being released with this vibe, and Luca has always lived and admired it. In this EP, he brings back these references, trying to stay as true as possible to the production processes of that time, with much of the creation being produced on the Korg Electribe SX sampler, a classic of that era. Despite this strong inspiration, he also managed to infuse a lot of his current sonic identity: acidic, energetic, and sometimes even a bit dark. This EP also features a remix by Guilherme Cherubini of the track Deeejay, bringing a vibe more oriented towards house and groove, referencing the more futuristic and current aesthetics of Deep Tech and Addiction 21.
