A Dozage surgiu em maio de 2009, em Vitória-ES, com a proposta de um som que remete ao bom e velho Rock n' Roll e as suas variadas vertentes. 
A banda foi idealizada pelos guitarristas Bruno Matos e Danilo Lopes. Quando o baixista Marcos Moraes aderiu a ideia, as primeiras músicas começaram a ser compostas. Logo depois, Victor Santos assumiu a bateria. Com o primeiro vocalista, Felipe Santana, a banda realizou seus primeiros shows, em festivais e casas de shows na Grande Vitória e no interior do Estado, no meio underground. Após a saída do vocalista, Thiago Tonini aderiu ao vocal banda em abril de 2015, quando a banda estava em processo de gravação do seu álbum debut: Gravitational Collapse.
O repertório é composto principalmente por músicas de autoria da banda, além de algumas covers de músicas consagradas do Rock e do Metal. As principais influências são Metallica, Deep Purple, Megadeth, Dream Theater, Kiss, Dr. Sin, dentre várias outras.
A banda tem como foco a divulgação do trabalho em nível nacional e, posteriormente, a difusão global.

Andrey Gonçalves is a Brazilian bassist based in Urbana, Illinois. He earned his Brazilian Popular Music degree from the Espírito Santo Music College (Brazil). Currently pursuing his doctor of musical arts at the University of Illinois, he studies with professor Larry Gray. As a teaching assistant, he teaches bass and jazz ensembles. In the studio, he has recorded as a guest musician on twenty-one records, produced six albums, and composed two game soundtracks. Onstage, he has toured in Europe, South America, the U.S., and played with artists such as Frank Gambale, Chuchito Valdés, Willy Thomas, Denis DiBlasio, Ben Sollee, and Alain Broadbent.

Nosso intuito é agregar diferentes linguagens da música “não-comercial” em uma corrente contínua de colaboração nos processos de produção musical, como um laboratório de novas idéias onde todos os participantes aprendam uns com os outros, somando aos produtos finais diferentes níveis de experiências para o enriquecimento mútuo.
Esperamos dialogar com diferentes posicionamentos estéticos-musicais, visando construir um acervo de materiais  originais, novos, audaciosos e criativos, com o propósito de unir em uma só comunidade artistas dos mais variados seguimentos, e que juntos constroem espaços democráticos de diálogo com o público, focado em lançamentos virtuais gratuitos.
