An orchestration of the main theme from Animal Crossing. This was part a series of live streams I've been doing, demonstrating the orchestrating process. Another piece where I forced myself to use Spitfire where possible, though I did have look elsewhere for the choir!

Here's an original piece of music I wrote a while back (it was a project that fell through) but forgot about. It's a slow building piece written to play about with some percussive ideas. It's not the most action-packed piece but I figured someone might find a use for it in their YouTube video or game. I haven't orchestrated anything in ages so wanted to sit down for an hour and make something at least a little musical. I also wanted to sharpen up my sheet reading skillz. This is a sugar plum doodle just messing with the new Spitfire Percussion update, and BML Sable/Low Winds/Reeds/Flutes.

Danse de la Fée-Dragée

An orchestration of 'Engineering' from Josh Randall/Ramin Djawadi's System Shock II soundtrack. As with the previous System Shock II track, this was hard to translate to orchestra. It differs slightly from the original and has a few bits of improv here and there. Hope I did it justice!

This is a mockup of 'Cold Nobility' from the Code Geass soundtrack by Kotaro Nakagawa. It's also recreated from ear so excuse any bad notes or improvisations!

Kid Cowboy

An orchestration based on the recent Fallout IV reveal trailer. Made to practice, and because Fallout is awesome.

Fallout 4 - Welcome to Boston (Theme Orchestra)

This is the result of a YouTube live stream where I just played about for a couple of hours orchestrating music from the upcoming Yooka-Laylee. 

I gave it the same treatment as I did for Banjo-Kazooie-Symphony. Bits improvised here and there but it stays quite faithful. It was recreated from ear so excuse any bad notes or improvisations!

Yooka-Laylee - Jungle World Orchestra

There's still not a lot of concrete info on No Man's Sky yet, but here's an orchestration of a song used in the trailer. The track is from a recent album by 65daysofstatic (who are also working on the game's soundtrack).

Does it really count as a video-game orchestration? Probably not, but thanks to the trailer, it's the tune most people associate with No Man's Sky at the moment. It proved a bit difficult to translate from the style of the original, so I tried to focus on the building melody throughout the piece while playing with rhythms and patterns.

No Man's Sky - Trailer Orchestra (65daysofstatic Debutante Orchestra)

Alright, so... I've decided that I'll be doing some "improvisations" for time to time, where I'll just randomly play something on the piano and then add some additional instruments to it. I think it's a great way to make additional content without needing too much time.. 

That way, I can upload a song now and then while working on my other big projects.. Keep it fresh, yo!

Animal Crossing - the Roost v3 'Orchestrated by SonicHyuga'

This lullaby is an augmented version of part of one of my other tracks, 'The Awakening.'
It used only multiple harpsichord melodies, which intertwine into a soothing atmospheric piece.
