I've been getting quite a few messages from others wanting me to do this one. It's a bit simplistic, since there isn't much to do with it. (other than just making it feel more atmospheric)

I've been slacking off from uploading any Animal Crossing music, so I hope this makes up for it! A great deal of time went into this.

The idea of this piece was to give a feeling and sense of what it might be like when the mayor (you) first arrives in town.

01 GUNDAM BUILD FIGHTERS

This is a straight remake of a piece from the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood soundtrack by Akira Senju. I wanted to get a close to the original piece as possible using samples only. I remade this from scratch by ear so some notes may be wrong or slightly different - there also may be minor changes due to sample limitations. The string runs also sound awful. If anyone can recommend a decent string run library (other than OSR) or a technique with multisamples I'd appreciate it :)

The Youtube video shows FL Studio playing back the piece for anyone who's interested - the timing is a little off but it's too late to fix that and I want to be done with this piece.

An orchestration of the main theme from Animal Crossing. This was part a series of live streams I've been doing, demonstrating the orchestrating process. Another piece where I forced myself to use Spitfire where possible, though I did have look elsewhere for the choir!

Zelda ALTtP - Dark World Theme

I haven't orchestrated anything in ages so wanted to sit down for an hour and make something at least a little musical. I also wanted to sharpen up my sheet reading skillz. This is a sugar plum doodle just messing with the new Spitfire Percussion update, and BML Sable/Low Winds/Reeds/Flutes.

This is an orchestrated version of Temple of Time from Zelda Ocarina of Time.  I'd never paid much attention to the Zelda music until recently. I wish I had gotten into it much earlier as there's so many good pieces of music hidden behind 8bit blips and blops.

Anyways - the choir. Meh, I am a bit of a perfectionist so I'm never ultimately happy, but they were a nightmare to work on with this. Hopefully they sound ok to everyone.

Waltz of the Welfman

This is the result of a YouTube live stream where I just played about for a couple of hours orchestrating various bits and bobs. This was made from scratch.

It's a mockup of the Galactic Imperial Army's theme' from the obscure 80s anime Legends of the Galactic Heroes soundtrack. I also improvised bits and bobs here such as the piano sections. It was recreated from ear so excuse any bad notes or improvisations!

Kid Cowboy

This is the result of a YouTube live stream where I just played about for a couple of hours orchestrating music from the upcoming Yooka-Laylee. 

I gave it the same treatment as I did for Banjo-Kazooie-Symphony. Bits improvised here and there but it stays quite faithful. It was recreated from ear so excuse any bad notes or improvisations!

Yooka-Laylee - Jungle World Orchestra

An orchestrated version of the Pitch Black Intrusion song from Castlevania DoS. Just testing new libraries, trying to work out the best balance for instruments and practising in general. It's really hard not to overdo the woodwinds!

Castlevania - Dawn of Sorrow - Pitch Black Intrusion Orchestra

There's still not a lot of concrete info on No Man's Sky yet, but here's an orchestration of a song used in the trailer. The track is from a recent album by 65daysofstatic (who are also working on the game's soundtrack).

Does it really count as a video-game orchestration? Probably not, but thanks to the trailer, it's the tune most people associate with No Man's Sky at the moment. It proved a bit difficult to translate from the style of the original, so I tried to focus on the building melody throughout the piece while playing with rhythms and patterns.
